After activating the plugin, a menu dedicated to the WordPress Dashboard will be added. This feature, in fact, helps you protect your site from external attacks. While that of premium users is updated in real time, that of the free plugin is updated after 30 days. Once the plugin is installed, the learning mode is activated. You need a Wordfence to learn things about your site and how to protect it. The plugin developers recommend protecting the firewall from collecting data at least for a week before activating it. In this section you can also set whitelisted rules and URLs, which are considered safe. Within this menu you will also find a tab called "Brute Force Protection". Here you can set rules to improve the security of your site, how to participate in events and editors to use the security password, decide after how many failed login attempts check accounts and for how long. ### 17. It is as if you do not have a safety plugin. It does not even make you or will not slow down the loading of your pages, or your visitors feel like something is running in the background. **What do you dislike about WordFence?** I disabled live traffic as it eats up too much resources. It's not a big deal since I am already using another traffic tool to check my live traffic. **Recommendations to others considering WordFence:** I strongly recommend the Wordfence safety plugin.
