What do you like best about Windows 7?

    The "Aero" Aesthetic

Windows 7 was arguably the most beautiful version of Windows. The Aero Glass theme featured translucent window borders and subtle animations that felt premium and modern. Unlike the "flat" design of modern Windows 10/11, Windows 7 had depth, shadows, and a sense of texture that made the desktop feel like a tactile workspace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Windows 7?

    The "Edition" Confusion

One of the most annoying parts of Windows 7 was the decision to split it into six different versions: Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional, Enterprise, and Ultimate.

    • Users often felt "nickeled and dimed" because basic features like changing the wallpaper were disabled in the Starter edition, and business features like BitLocker encryption were locked behind the expensive Ultimate edition. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
