You can't just code in a file. You're always navigating with your mouse, clicking on things to type code into. Windev encourages binding GUI Controls directly to your database -- binding to Classes or Structures aren't supported even half as well as when you bind to a database/table.

There is no support for third party tools -- you can't use GitHub or BitBucket or any GIT service. You have to use Windev's own "SCM". And oh let me tell you -- actually, no -- just TRY working on a "dev" branch and a "feature" branch in parallel and you'll see how terrible it is. As an organization we have completely done away with teamwork with Windev. Their "SCM" causes too much trouble and slows down development far too much.

Lastly -- PC-Soft's marketing for the application is juvenile as heck. They've toned it down recently, but man ... just look for some Windev ads from back in 2015+. They really went full-on with the "sex sells" idea. Really just makes their product look trashy. Maybe that's an accurate representation, though. Trashy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
