**What do you like best about Whistic?**
We initially started with spreadsheets, then moved to a VRM tool, and eventually transitioned to Whistic. Since making that switch, Whistic has noticeably improved our workflow and made the process feel more streamlined. I would suggest using the ai features of Whistic to truly take advantage of the application. Vendor Summary and SOC 2 Summary along with Next Assessment are really tremendous features.
**What do you dislike about Whistic?**
The Bulk Assessment was not ideal as Active and Inactive vendors are selected as eligible for the bulk send. The only way to send to just Active is to manually click each vendor. I have requested upgrades to this feature.
**What problems is Whistic solving and how is that benefiting you?**
We struggled with sending assessments on a cadence. Next Assessment allows for me to send on an automated schedule which helps keep us in compliance.

**What do you like best about Whistic?**
What I like best about Whistic is the time it saves and the quality of its customer service. The platform can request documents from vendors, analyze them against our chosen security standard, and show which controls meet our requirements, do not meet them, or need further review. It can also pull data from vendor trust centers, which cuts down on manual research and follow up. Reviews that once took weeks can often be completed in about 20 minutes when the vendor provides the required documents.
The support team has also been excellent. They respond quickly when we need help, and our account managers stay in close contact with us. They are knowledgeable, flexible when we need more time, and willing to help in any way they can. In my experience, Whistic has a strong focus on customer service.

Whistic is still a young and growing company, so some features are not yet as mature or fully developed as they could be. That said, the product in its current form works very well for our needs and has brought clear value to our third-party risk review process. As Whistic continues to carry out its roadmap and refine these features, I expect the platform to become even stronger.

I like using Whistic's Trust Center because it saves me time by reducing interactions with documentation requests. I can just direct people to the Trust Center and let them find what they need. I also appreciate the vendor approval process feature as it consolidates everything in one place, so I don't have to use other tools to involve my approvers. It's efficient for managing high-level vendors that require secondary approval.

When I am doing vendor assessments, most Trust Centers for our vendors require an NDA to be signed. This is a blocker for the AI document retrieval features. I'm looking forward to seeing how Whistic finds a way around this.

I find Whistic easy to search and see potential for many more service providers to be connected to it. I appreciate the overview of relevant SOC-2 reports, periodic security assessments, and information security policies that can all be found in one place. It is easy to install and I am glad that there is multi-factor authentication (MFA) on the website login.

I see a number of our other suppliers and I don't know how to request the same insight. A quick video tour of the solution would be great. I see many areas that I haven't explored yet. It would be nice to understand the why and usability of those functionalities.

“Dislike” is a strong term here, but the Knowledge Base could be more organized. The ability to create folders would be very helpful.

Whistic is relatively easy to use from both the analyst perspective, as well as the vendor's perspective. The AI works very well when vendor's submit adequate documentation and answers are well supported with accurate sources. This tool has helped our organization produce faster risk assessment results, improve risk outcomes, and support continuous monitoring across the entire vendor portfolio. Whistic's customer support team is also an extremely valuable resource to our organization.

Since Whistic doesn't allow domain level risk assessments, the process to gather evidence and sequence it to run the AI is manual, which can lead to errors.

Compared to other TPRM solutions, Whistic is very easy to use and saves a ton of time on assessments. Their Trust Catalog model includes a lot of vendors and their security documents to streamline the assessment. For vendors who haven't contributed, it's easy to send requests and questionnaires based on many different assessment frameworks. The AI features allow you to upload audit reports and security documents of any kind and assess them against the framework of your choice. Their implementation services and support are top notch.
**What do you dislike about Whistic?**
Sometimes the docs provided by the vendor aren't kept up to date, but that's really not a Whistic issue so much as it's the vendors. It easy enough to upload updated docs.

The vendor catalog is a tremendous time saver for due diligence. It gives me the ability to quickly find and search some of our key indicators.

Simpler access to trust catalogs. It may be more of a responsibility of the vendors themselves, but we all need a standard NDA or agreement that allows us to share critical information with each other faster.

Vendor management inventory, documenting and followups. Ability to send custom questionnaires. Automation and scheduling of questionnaires.
**What do you dislike about Whistic?**
The UI/UX needs to improve a bit, it's not very intuitive. Also the help menu should contain a lot more details as the learning curve is awful.

Annual reviews of reports from customers, just schedule the task, no more manual emails asking the customers for SOC2, ISO reports. Supply chain security questions, just create a quiz and send it to relevant vendors.

**What do you like best about Whistic?**
The thing I like most about whistic is how seamlessly everything integrates together. The issues, the trust catalog, reporting on vendor entries. It took what used to be a process spanning multiple spreadsheets and make it whole into one centralized location.
**What do you dislike about Whistic?**
I'm stretching here trying to find a negative, but if anything, the only true negative is the current risk recon integration. It's handy having the high level scores, but having the ability to potentially drill down into the issues or findings would be a fantastic addition. Otherwise, regarding whistic itself, there is nothing that I truly dislike!
**What problems is Whistic solving and how is that benefiting you?**
Overall time to conduct a vendor assessment (decreased significantly coming from our previous processes), increased transparency in seeing how far along a vendor is in completing their questionnaire, and improved communication with the vendor via the clarification requests directly through the platform.

We've found being proactive in sharing our security profile with prospects has cut down on the number of full questionnaires we have to answer. We'll get focused follow-up questions, but rarely a lengthy spreadsheet of questions.

The new UI changes have taken some time to get used to. I haven't made up my mind if it's an improvement or not.

We were receiving security questionnaires with a hundred or more questions (one was 800!). The time spent filling these in was a resource drain on pre-sales, sales and product development. Now we can proactively push the information out. Whistic has reduced the number of questionnaires we now have to fill in. It's more often a focused set of questions or a few clarifications.

Whistic makes managing a Third-Party Risk Management program so much easier! There is a lot of work, attention to detail and reviewing of documentation that encompasses third-party or vendor risk management. Still, Whistic makes it easier to manage by providing a platform that allows thousands of businesses an opportunity to get in front of questionnaires by providing their information in their profile.

There is not much to dislike about Whistic - it is a wonderful platform! The only thing I can say is that there is room for product development - Whistic is always open to thoughts and ideas on upgrades to the platform.

I am the only person managing the Third-Party Risk Management program at my company, which is a huge feat! However, since implementing Whistic within our process, I have been able to conduct remediation on our existing vendors and set up a process for handling new or prospective vendors on Whistic's platform. **What do you like best about Whistic?**
Our Whistic profile saves us so much time in that it has greatly reduced the number of questionnaires and security calls required of our team. All of our info is in one place and ready to share. Our sales team loves it as does the security team. The vendor management side of the platform makes onboarding and ongoing risk management a breeze.
**What do you dislike about Whistic?**
There is not much of anything I dislike about Whistic. I do wish that all of our vendors had a profile in their catalog. Sometimes getting some companies to respond to the questionnaire requests can be a pain, but they are actively working on adding companies to their already robust trust catalog.
**What problems is Whistic solving and how is that benefiting you?**
Client security reviews can be terribly time-consuming. Whistic helps cut down on that time by a lot. We can share our security profile even before being asked for the info. Our company has multiple pre-filled questionnaires ready to go so we do not have to fill out a new one most of the time. Our policies and certifications are ready for review by our customers or prospects. We'd often have to sit in on multiple security calls explaining our posture, but now just sharing our Whistic profile makes that unnecessary.
Third-party vendor management is also a time-consuming endeavor. Chasing down SOC 2 reports and getting questionnaires back can be a hassle. Whistic's trust catalog makes information gathering and review so simple.

It is a bit complex to figure out how to do internal assessments. I am not entirely sure if this is one of the goals of the tool, but I can see it being used in the same way that you assess third parties.

Third-party assessment is very easy to track. The automatic recurrence on assessments makes it easy to schedule your due diligence assessment piece, so there are lots of different ways that Whistic takes the manual steps out of the process.

Gone are the days of collaborating in offline files and Jira tickets. Instead, all stakeholders can collaborate directly in the tool and automatics notify us when a vendor renewal is required. These enhancements have cut the time spent on vendor reviews by more than half. Whistic has not only streamlined our vendor security reviews; but, has also presented our team with more data to make informed decisions.

Today, Whistic's tooling does not allow customizable fields when issuing an NDA. While this has presented some obstacles within our organization, the feature is slated to be enabled in CY22 Q2.

**What do you like best about Whistic?**
Vendor risk assessments are not the "sexiest" thing in cybersecurity & not something anyone gets excited about doing. Still, they are a fundamental requirement of any effective security program &, as highlighted by recent data breaches, are a real concern to any company using or providing hosted services. Whistic makes this task both much more automatic and effective - it allows me to focus on more critical (& maybe more fun) tasks. If you are trying to run a security program with limited resources, then Whistic is a must. IT allows me to keep on top of assessing 100+ vendors by myself. This effort went under significant scrutiny as part of the SOC 2 & ISO 27001 certification process we recently underwent & I can safely say without Whistic we would not have obtained certification. Its automation & ease of use combined with fantastic reporting & ease of evidence sharing for auditors make it one of my must-have tools to build or mature any security program.
**What do you dislike about Whistic?**
There are some tweaks I'd like to see, including the ability to sort by multiple columns rather than a single column, a mobile app to give visibility to key metrics on the go, or the ability to scrape from vendor websites & pre-approve larger enterprises (e.g. auto-download security certification from AWS & approve without me having to contact etc). The other area for improvement is the development of the eco-system. The more vendors they can get to create & maintain security profiles the better this approach becomes & in doing so they will establish themselves as fundamental to all security leaders.
**Recommendations to others considering Whistic:**
Get it! It makes vendor risk management so much easier. If you have a small team & need to focus their efforts on other things, this is as near to automation of VRM as you can get!
**What problems is Whistic solving and how is that benefiting you?**
We don't have the resources, or the desire, to approach vendor risk in the traditional way by sending out, chasing, re-chasing & then reviewing questionnaires. Whistic solves that problem for us by automating the process & by providing a very easy to use user interface as well as a great way to catalogue & provide auditable processes. The security profile is a revelation! We are very transparent in our approach to security & it allows us to proactively share all our policies/procedures, self-assessments, certifications & external audit/pen testing with leads early in the sales cycle. It has significantly reduced the volume & size of security questionnaires we are being sent & driven short sales cycles.

**What do you like best about Whistic?**
My favorite part of Whistic is when I receive an email from partners asking complicated legal and security questions (or RFPs), and in response, I send them a Whistic link, and presto, the problem is solved. Prior to having Whistic, that response could be weeks in the making trying to manage a seemingly endless email thread of cross-functional support.
**What do you dislike about Whistic?**
To my knowledge, it only allows one profile per client organization. It hasn't been an issue yet, but it would be nice to allow more log-ins for my partners.

Removing involving legal and security teams from the RFP and standardized questions.

**What do you like best about Whistic?**
We receive hundreds of security and compliance-related inquiries. Not one of these requests were ever the same and they involved Excel spreadsheets, Google Docs and other unstructured systems. This made it impossible to ever build a "source of truth". I don't have to read old and outdated security documents nor do I dread sharing how we protect and reference our compliance policies.

That I didn't find out about the tool sooner.

Review your past surveys, see how much time it takes you, and measure this. Whistic will save you 10X.

The Whistic platform is very intuitive, streamlined, and easy to use. In addition, the entire Whistic team has been so great to work with! The Whistic team has supported our needs as we navigate through our custom use case for the platform. They are open to hearing any feature suggestions that we come up with and are always willing to jump on a call with us to learn more about our needs. We have had interactions with multiple teams within Whistic from sales, customer success, product, and engineering, and everyone we have worked with has been fantastic. We are delighted with the platform and, more importantly, the team behind the platform that is helping us deliver on our client's needs.

**What do you like best about Whistic?**
It's a great vendor management tool. Able to request for questionnaire from prospect vendors easily and we can create custom forms internally for our business owners to submit the vendors they would like to use for our team to assess them. It's easily to manage on the interface and able to really categorize what type of vendors we have (high, med, low). I really like their new features where we able to retrieve the Compliance Attestation reports from there such as SOC and ISO reports. That really helps when we do our annual vendor assessment for our SOC Audit. There's a lot of great things about Whistic and able to really streamline of vendor management program and able to share our security profile for our customers too.
Another feature I heavily use is the Security Profile section. We able to share our whitepapers on whistic with our customer and we like that we are able to enable NDA so that they are required to acknowledge it prior to seeing our documents. We been heavily using this function and sharing our documents externally.
**What do you dislike about Whistic?**
I think the only con think I can think of is that there's no way to change the configuration for admins to retrieve what kind of notifications from whistic, especially when we have a lot of vendors it's not necessary we need are the email notification and with the amount I retrieve it kind of turns into spam and I just filter our all the emails from whistic. I hope in the future they can send the configuration on whistic so I can select what kind of email notification I want and what is important to me.
**Recommendations to others considering Whistic:**
Great vendor management tool and able to manage and assess it based on your frequency of your process. It has a lot of great functions so you can really built out the vendor management program.
Really utility their team to help and set up monthly reoccuring calls with them to know about new features and any other things that you may have questions about and they can share best practices they seen from their other customers.

Great tool that help our vendor management tool. We are able to really manage our vendor management program and also assessment our vendors to see if there are any potential risks we may have if we decide to use that vendor.

We have been using Whistic for a few years now, and I like that they are always making improvements to the platform. I like the use of the Trust Catalog (the completed questionnaire, certificates, and riskcon score.

I don't like that the vendor reassessment process is not fully defined. I know they are doing some work in the space. There a some things that need to be done to improve this process. Also, there's not a lot of integration capability out of box.

**What do you like best about Whistic?**
Whistic is a simple-to-use third-party assessment platform that has significantly eased the pain of our assessments to be conducted in different jurisdictions with differing requirements owing to the availability of custom questionnaires. Compliant Answers have allowed us to spend less time reviewing answers to standard questions and more time on descriptive answers. The team has also been receptive to feedback and incorporated some of the feature requests in subsequent releases.
**What do you dislike about Whistic?**
We had some difficulty integrating Whistic with our identity provider for SAML SSO authentication, but it was sorted through subsequent discussions with the support team. Also, when creating a new questionnaire from an existing questionnaire, the settings for Compliant Answers for questions are not copied over, which makes it hard to set the Compliant Answers, especially when duplicating long questionnaires.
**What problems is Whistic solving and how is that benefiting you?**
Whistic has helped us to meet our compliance requirements on third-party assessments across jurisdictions, even with a small team, while delivering significant time savings due to the automations in place.

**What do you like best about Whistic?**
Whistic allows us to focus on the important things in our business rather than manual processes. We can focus our time on review and value rather than process. I like that we can send a questionnaire to another party and the other party can then manage the response, including their own users. The Trust catalogue also helps us fast track new or potential suppliers through the evaluation process. We also like the ready made questionnaires based on industry standards that we could customise.
**What do you dislike about Whistic?**
There's opportunity for some more reporting templates. However, given we can extract what we need at anytime this is not a major issue.
**Recommendations to others considering Whistic:**
Having an out of the box solution that you configure and not customise has been great. It has simplified our processes and we no longer rely on spreadsheets and lots of manual tasks.

We have 100's of third party suppliers and partners. Whistic enabled us to complete cyber security assessment of all of them without having to put more people on. We were also able to do it in a relatively short timeframe. It also solves the regular attestation problem and also provides reporting without huge manual workload.

Whistic has the tools to automate and scale third party vendor management, automating many of the mundane tasks of managing a vendor assessment portfolio and reducing the amount of non-value add work so you can focus on what's most important, identifying the risks in your vendor ecosystem.

Whistic is still a fairly young tool, so some less common workflows take some thought to implement. The team is receptive to product feature requests however, and has been excellent at incorporating feedback and proposing solutions.

Think through all your assessment use cases before implementing, including how you will reassess vendors, how you will score questionnaires, etc. This will ensure there is less re-work as use expands.

Whistic helps us achieve our compliance obligations by ensuring vendor risk is consistently and objectively evaluated across our vendor space. Automation tools allow us to support our multinational organization's vendor security needs with a relatively small team. The value of the tool is enhanced by features such as the Trust Catalog which allow independent evaluations of vendor scoring to be pulled in as supporting evidence to our reviews.

Whistic is a very simple platform to use. From answers questionnaires to sharing the security profile. Whistic can also be used to share secure documentation with potential customers with the requirement of an NDA in order to view.

Not a fault of Whistic, but the biggest challenge we face when interacting with customers is some customers do not want to use the platform and rather you answer their questionnaire.
