Despite the fact of it being easy-to-use, the program makes a very nice environment to develop your web applications. I use it usually with JavaScript projects, I like that for example, I can start an Angular CLI project from it and leave the rest to this integrated feature where it handles creating the files and the hierarchy for my project. I can use the terminal from inside the program to run and debug the code I am writing. It helps a lot with having SASS in the project as it creates an automatic file watched to compile that to CSS. Debugging was never easier for Web projects, WebStorm automatically highlights problems with the code at writing the code time, and then you can easily trace your methods and classes. Also, it's a fantastic bonus the fact it streamlines a lot of developer tooling into one tool, such as task runners and version control. **What do you dislike about WebStorm?** Webstorm's features sadly don't come without a cost, mainly in the shape of huge performance issues on low and mid range machines, or when working on large projects even on large machines. This is caused by the indexing it does on project open which can be disabled, but this sadly removes a lot of functionality as well. It facilitates very rapid development without having to hunt through documentation all day. The breadth and depth of plugins, both from JetBrains and from the community, is incredible. There are plugins to do practically anything. It's cross-platform, and using the JetBrains Toolbox makes it so it can auto-update seamlessly without me needing to worry about it. The amount of languages and types of projects it can support is pretty staggering. **What do you dislike about WebStorm?** WebStorm can be slow to start up, particularly if it has to reindex the site, it can end up slowing my entire computer down for a little while. This is compounded with having a lot of plugins active. WebStorm can be very resource-intensive. It will happily eat up as much memory as you give it, at least to a point. This is fine if you have a beefy development system, but if you don't have a lot of memory or other resources available, WebStorm can sometimes run quite slowly. Once in a while, using "Find in files" doesn't find certain text strings that do exist within project files.
