**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2022

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

The best IDE for javascript. code autocomplete are excellent. work well with any Javascript framework like React and Vue.

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

Webstorm or any JetBrains software have a common problem is the software is heavy to run on the system. no community version is available for Webstrom . and it is very expensive.

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Increase productivity because of the autocomplete they are given. Improve code quality.

  ### 2. Best IDE for Javascript Projects Development

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2021

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

WebStorm gives an across-the-board web improvement IDE. It gives related capacity access which will explore a particular capacity with a single tick. This program has a wide library of orders just as colorization of codes to make it simpler to recognize the diverse coordinated devices. it distinguishes blunders progressively which assists us with guaranteeing that our tasks are completed accurately and notwithstanding their Interface and troubleshooting will assist us with saving a ton of work time. The incorporation of git works extremely quickly and it additionally gives us an exceptionally smooth way of settling git clashes.

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

With pride, I can say that there is nothing to criticize about this IDE.

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use this all the time for the MERN stack production projects, It provides all the things that a developer requires during developing the projects like code refactoring, code debugging, code auto-completion, error suggestion, a wide range of plugins, version control, etc.

  ### 3. Top notch web development IDE

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryne O. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2021

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

WebStorm provides an all-in-one web development IDE. If you are familiar with other Jetbrains IDEs you'll feel at home with WebStorm. Code completion is fast. There are many plugins to add functionality with existing tools, libraries, and frameworks. However, there are so many features that this will likely be all you need. The integration with Git is extremely useful since you can manage version control from within the IDE rather than switching to the command line or an external tool. It has a shelf feature which is like creating a subset of a stash. I use WebStorm for Angular and NodeJS development with TypeScript. The remote debugger for NodeJS works well with TypeScript code making it quicker to troubleshoot problems. The Angular template code completion works very well for components and directives. TypeScript integration also works well to show errors in the IDE instead of running compilation from the command line.

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

As WebStorm is a full-featured IDE, there are many features, shortcuts, and hotkeys to learn. It can be challenging to discover the features and how to use them. Luckily numerous support and blog posts provide useful information. Some integrations, notably TypeScript, may have problematic behavior depending on the project configuration. For example, if your project uses two TypeScript versions, the IDE will honor the configuration in the outermost directory. This will lead to erroneous type errors for a subfolder with possibly a different TypeScript version and configuration. Code completion works best for strongly typed languages. WebStorm does a decent job with JavaScript but it has some problems accurately finding what you need.

**Recommendations to others considering WebStorm:**

Consider team size and other Jetbrains products before purchasing a license. The licensing model can bundle products. There is also an all products licensing pack which would be ideal for organizations who use multiple technology stacks.

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WebStorm provides a unified, consistent developer work platform throughout our organization. Without WebStorm, we would be using text editors and command line tools. This IDE improves developer productivity with solid framework integration which allows us to catch errors earlier in the development process. The Code with Me feature assists with pair programming and code collaboration by allowing multiple developers to edit code in real time. It's not perfect but decent for getting the job done. License management can be problematic for large teams especially if license keys must be generated and passed around. Managing the licenses and version updates is simple through their account portal. Developers can be invited to use a license via email. Similarly the license can be revoked through the portal and reassigned when required.

  ### 4. Webstorm - Great product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2022

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

Refactoring is one of the most valuable tools.Being able to easily navigate through the code, to review definitions/users, together with the ease of seeing unused variables (and other "clutter" hints) is appreciate. I also like the VIM integration...very nice!

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

The features present are what I need; while there may be an occasional item that I find to be an annoyance, there is nothing that is a constant irritation. Overall, I enjoy using it!

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For a product I use, the only option for customized processing is the create JavaScript processing stages. WebStorm has been very helpful in becoming proficient in getting these micro stages developed and ready for use within the product.

  ### 5. Webstorm the best UI IDE.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhishek B. | Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2020

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

We can import whole Ui projects in it,with proper syntax highlighting in Javascript files and errors shown. Integration with git for managing code and availability of terminal.

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

Memory usage by software is sometimes too much, some errors in previous versions can only be fixed by upgrading whole application not just simply applying a patch.

**Recommendations to others considering WebStorm:**

It's one of the best ide for UI development if you can get the license.

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helped me in Code competition, error finding, file finding, keywords search, syntax highlighting, Market place is having so much plugins to support for different languages and so much themes available

  ### 6. Best IDE I've used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

The plugin ecosystem is excellent. As a JS developer, it increases my productivity hundredfold.

* I rely on it a lot when I'm dealing with merge conflicts.
* Auto-completion and auto imports are great features to have

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

It could be slow to start from time to time, especially when indexing the code after installing dependencies.

Unless you have a company to expense the license fees, it could be an overkill tool for hobby programmers.

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I spend more time writing code rather than wrestling with the IDE. I save significant time if I'm re-factoring code compared to other development tools I've used.

  ### 7. IDE fror Developers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Khatri J. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2022

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

The part I like in Webstorm for its autocomplete algorithm. it is faster than another IDE i feel and more familiar with developers

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

The major dislike thinks it heavily uses memory and storage. and a pricing model

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The benefits I realized when we are writing a large code with deference plugins. so its in-build plugins are beneficial

  ### 8. The greatest Node JS and React IDE

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shrey M. | Interaction Design Intern - Student Information Systems, Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2021

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

Webstorm is fantastic for contextualizing where files are in a project and making sure the imports are seamless into other code files. It does a fantastic job of running the terminal inside the IDE as well.

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

It can take up a lot of ram on the computer hence can slow down other running processes.

**Recommendations to others considering WebStorm:**

If you are upgrading from a lightweight IDE like visual code then it can be a great investment for developer productivity.

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using webstorm to develop Javascript (Node JS) and react based applications.

  ### 9. Webstorm. Tool for JS development

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vedran M. | Backend Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2021

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

It has many plugins that help us devs. For example, say you have a .sh or .sql file. It recognizes it and offers appropriate plugins to install for those files. Its not only .sh or .sql... many others as well. On top of that, it has many other plugins that make our lives easier.

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

Sometimes it gets slugish, and I must close all instances of it and reopen it again. This is probably some memory leak since this tool is made in Java. Must admit, it is rare nowadays. Also, sometimes, I lose focus on the open projects, cant focus them with the cursor. But it is rare.

**Recommendations to others considering WebStorm:**

It is an excellent IDE tool. It had some quirks and bugs in the initial releases; but today, it rivals big brothers, like Eclipse and Visual Studio.
It supports many different languages, for example, Golang -- Goland.

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I produce and develop all projects for my company. I use other Jet Brain products as well. Great eco system. Dont forget, these guys made Kotlin :)

  ### 10. Works excellent for web development

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert E. | Operations Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2021

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

The program is very easy to use. I personally like the auto complete feature the best. The console is also another nice feature. It allows me to run node commands from the program itself. This means that I will only need one window open instead of having webstorm and a console open to run any of the needed node commands that I use on a regular base for both installing packages and running the development server. Code hinting is another very welcome feature. It is almost impossible to remember what parameters a specific function in NodeJS requires especially when using multiple packages. Webstorm is able to show me what the order of parameters is on a specific function. Additionally, when you have finished writing the code it will even show the parameter name next to the value that you have passed into the specific function.

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

Windows defender can cause it to slow down. However, webstorm does have an auto fix for it. Additionally, the program can also be a little slow to start when I need to open it for the first time each day that I am using it.

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps to shorten the time it takes to develop a new site. A project that would normally take me months to complete now only takes a couple of weeks to have a viable project that is ready to launch for the end user to use.

  ### 11. Great editor for developing front end

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2021

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

I like a lot of the built in features, it has an excellent git gui, lots of plugins to choose from

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

Can be slower than some of the lightweight competitors. Not as big selections of plugins as some competitors

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using it for front end software development. It helps us to write code, use git, and overall develop our applications.

  ### 12. Webstorm a modern IDE to be versatile

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thiago F. | Full-stack Developer, Program Development, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2021

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

I love IntelliSense, the code review, lint, native debug, and built-in run app. I'm a real fan!

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

I wouldn't say I like the memory consumption in Windows and macOS.

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The JavasScript development is practical using Webstorm. A lot of things are automatic and easy! Nowadays, I can't be productive in my development without Webstorm.

  ### 13. Multi-code editor with many tools specialized in javascript

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrian A. | Degree in computer science, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2021

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

This code editor specialized in javascript has many features in its editing form as well as its tools that make it very powerful, since it detects errors in real time that helps us to ensure that our projects are carried out correctly and in addition to their Interface and debugging will help us save a lot of work time, it has linters tools, test execution, unit tests in multiple execution systems, as well as integration with vcs systems, which helps us a lot in teamwork at the time of editing grangues codes or modify codes or third-party programs, the program carries out multiple inspections when we edit the code, as well as tools and preferences to configure aspects and operating systems before passing to the tests, the program has filling code on writing with a very extensive command library

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

The software has everything you need but I would like the program interface to have more specialized code testing tools for mobile devices.

**Recommendations to others considering WebStorm:**

This program is sure to be liked by many because of the multiple tools that it contains, I would recommend before executing the tests to do a debugging and see the type of OS for which our application or final script will be focused

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When we edit source code of applications we are taking the multiple files of the program and we are editing them one at a time, sometimes we insert external codes and then we apply the error stop, we edit and then we write the missing commands so that it is compatible and thus pass to the tests that we carry out according to the devices and systems on which the applications are focused, many of them are for mobile devices, that half the time we create new ones and the other half we carry out updates for our clients so that it always looks good, something good of this program is that it marks the errors on the fly, which allows us to detect possible errors in time and this helps us save time in editing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrian L. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2020

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

This software is focused to work on javascript code and style sheets, for different types of projects such as applications, web pages or game development, this program has a wide library of commands as well as colorization of codes to make it easier distinguish the command lines, all its tools are well integrated into the project on which we work, from its editing options to its debugging and design tools, to its tools for detecting errors in real time, which is very helpful, immediately after of what we edit we can go on to do the different types of tests to continue with the development, this allows us a quality and fast edition

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

I would like the program to have more test methods, in this case the new ones adapted to mobile applications, although it works the same way

**Recommendations to others considering WebStorm:**

This program works very well for editing javascript code, it is good to work with it, it has many tools and test methods to be constantly testing our code, I would only recommend that precisely to go testing the projects that we are developing, that will facilitate many things

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kenan G. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2020

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

With this IDE editor for Javascript very professional projects can be achieved since it contains many tools within the same program, which we can use to not leave the application in this way we can select languages, program and test the code all as we want to use this software, likewise there is a large library of codes and commands that appear as we edit to select the possible ones within the code syntax, there is also a numerical differentiation in the columns that marks the writing lines. of the code, and where you can point out the possible errors before and after the debugging to continue with the code test, since the same program in its tools offers us different methods of code testing and then continue to save the project

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

The program works very well for javascript applications but I would like it to have more tools to work with other languages such as html or php so more focused on web design, and also have a test graphical interface

**Recommendations to others considering WebStorm:**

This is a very complete java editor, I would only recommend testing and debugging our code as we progress in the edition, since this way we avoid major errors as we progress in our project

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use this editor a lot since more and more applications focused on networks are used as well as program sites for managing servers, within this program we import the codes or applications to defragment them and continue to edit the code, this program is very complete since it gives us different editing and testing options, to see the progress of the projects we are working on in real time and thus save us a lot of time

  ### 22. Powerful IDE for modern JavaScript development:

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrea A. | Engineering Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2020

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

WebStorm can let you allow a variety of accessibility features to put up to your needs. It allows you to adjust font color or size, and the performance of certain UI fundamentals to formulate the process of working with WebStorm simpler by using a screen reader. WebStorm can be attuned to deal with whichever category of coding style. This rank of customization allows the developers to organize tool windows, editor layout, visual themes, shortcuts, fonts, and more.

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

It eats up a lot of RAM which slows down the computer and other processes that could be annoying for the users. This software is copyrighted and cannot be customized. It can be proved a little expensive. The IDE is not charge-free as Eclipse or Visual Studio Code and the price can be a bit excessive for young startups. It opens new windows instead of a merged window and it is irritating.

**Recommendations to others considering WebStorm:**

It can help you to increase code qualities and write codes faster and it can help you to reduce mistakes.

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Webstorm also integrates with JsHint and JSLint, which are tools used for inspection if the JavaScript source code running by the coding policy and used as an error detecting tool respectively. It provides you with assistance to find potential troubles in your JavaScript code. These two are mandatory for every developer and by using them your productivity and code quality both would enhance. It can help you to increase code qualities and write codes faster and it can help you to reduce mistakes.

  ### 23. Awesome IDE

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

Flexibility to add plugins for various technologies that I use daily.

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

It might sometimes randomly crash. Since it's based on a java stack, I expect it, but the benefits far outweigh the problems. It 's very infrequent.

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm bringing a Dev Ops cycle within the agile framework to my job, and using this integrates with all our ticket systems.

  ### 24. Powerful Editor. Use every day

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2021

  ### 25. A very complete and versatile code editor specialized in javascript

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ricardo F. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2020

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

A very complete editor specialized in javascript, which contains a wide library of codes and preset commands to speed up the writing of them, all this differentiated by colors to have a wide differentiation, apart from a real-time error detector that helps us to accelerate the projects in which we are working, apart from having a code debugger, it also has the tools of common code editors, very useful for developing websites, programs and apps,

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

The program works very well but I would like it to have the preview option in case we focus on website design

**Recommendations to others considering WebStorm:**

I recommend seeing some tutorials on the use of this program since they are very helpful, there are videos on YouTube that are very helpful and without a doubt you will learn its use to obtain better benefits in its use

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When we start working on the development and programming of projects and apps, we usually start by importing pre-established codes in this program and from there we start by inserting the java codes and the same program shows us the missing codes or possible errors, the same program divides us the Codes between the commands and the different orders with colors to easily differentiate them, as far as app development is concerned, we are adding all the code packages in the project to proceed to debugging them and detecting errors, in case that we work directly with commands has the fast writing mode when it shows us the possible commands to add from its program library, this helps us save a lot of time between jobs or projects from scratch

  ### 26. Make web development much easier than any available IDE's

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tharindu R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2020

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

I have being using Web Storm for a long time as it makes development much easier than any other available IDE's. Specially with this IDE it's easier to build software by work with project structure, handling libraries, configurations as well as with version controlling. When it comes to handling version controlling much easier to connect any vcs like Github or Gitlab. Also it makes easier to debug code base whenever needed.

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

When it comes to resource utilization of the IDE is utilize much resources like memory usage. So the IDE get stuck with the development sometimes. Also the learning curve for the IDE is little bit high as it has much features with the available UI takes time to learn all it's features.

**Recommendations to others considering WebStorm:**

I recommend Web Storm for any large scale to small scale web development companies to make development much easier. Also IDE available for educational purposes so the undergraduates can request for a licence for the software.

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For all my web development projects handle through Web Storm. Specially Angular development is done using web storm and it is much easier than any IDE.

  ### 27. The Smartest Code Editor

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlee B. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2020

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

There are most beneficial built-in plugins in Webstorm. You can use it in angular development. You can easily and effortlessly install plugins. The GUI is very easy to use and anyone can easily and simply understand all the functions and buttons. I like the look of the development environment of this software as it is modern, engaging and so attractive. It is possible to install on Windows, macOS, or Linux. On the other side, it has a tool to support you to detect syntax errors and mistakes.

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

I hate the most about WebStorm is that it doesn't have an open-source version. At first, you will be able to enjoy a free trial and then you will have to spend on your subscription. The performance that Webstorm requires on a computer is high. It cannot be used with less than 4GB RAM. The cost is not affordable as compared to other development tools.

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Webstorm is one of the best to-go-to development tools. Developers should always use Webstorm. Webstorm investigates mistakes while typing code and if an error comes or you make a blunder by fault then it notifies you. It allows you to write codes faster and quicker. It increases and improves your code quality.

Also, GUI is very useful to use. We can easily understand all the buttons and functions. I most like the auto-formatting code. It makes code very readable

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

Sometimes it is taking too much time for the load. Maybe because it required java as a background for a run. And sometimes its going crash as well.

Rather than this, it will be good for usage. I felt this issue sometimes. So I can neglect it and work on this more.

**Recommendations to others considering WebStorm:**

It is a very useful IDE for beginners where they can learn many functions and also get more powerful results with this IDE. I have used it for frontend development and It helped me a lot with usage. I recommend very strongly this software to other professionals or new freshers where they can utilize the time and do more work very easily.

I am solving problem with the auto-suggesting function will be written, So if I type few characters then it will show autosuggest with all possible function list and this is the main problem I was facing and this is resolved by WebStorm.

Also, It is supporting multiple plugins so it will be more useful to me.

And this functionality realized me that it is very good for me in terms of usage and faster development.

I also like its find and replace functions. Also, it is possible to install it on Windows, Linux or macOS. On the other hand, it has a tool to help you detect syntax errors.

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

Webstorm requires a considerable amount of memory and processing speed to function properly. Also, it may seem like expensive software for people just getting started with programming.

**Recommendations to others considering WebStorm:**

I would recommend it for advanced developers, who require powerful features for JavaScript, HTML or PHP. It is intuitive and highly customizable software. Also, you can run TypeScript.

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WebStorm is my favorite IDE for creating my JavaScript workspace, because it has great tools like error detection, syntax highlighting, and find and replace functions. Also, it is possible to run and debug TypeScript.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jesus O. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2020

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

This powerful multi-code editor allows us to have greater control over the work to be done, in most cases, on applications, servers, and websites. The program includes multiple tools for code editing, such as previewing and marking options or errors in real-time as we develop the code, making it a fast editor with a very extensive code library for preselection.

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

It would be good to add more options to preview the projects we are working on periodically and, why not, in real time.

**Recommendations to others considering WebStorm:**

I recommend that you watch YouTube tutorials related to this program for the project you are going to undertake.

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sometimes in server area orders, they don't request certain types of web development or updating the site of our work area in communication with clients. That's when we use this program; it is very useful for us both in the server control area and in web design and application. This program helps us save time because with fewer errors, less work gets held up. It also functions as a method for detecting and solving errors from past projects when we didn't have this program yet. It is useful because when we are editing code, it has the option to show us predefined options to speed up editing, but what helps us the most is the timely detection of code errors.

  ### 33. WebStorm is a development environment with impressive JavaScript features

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fernando H. | Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2020

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

The customization options, the wide variety of plugins and the error prediction tools are the features that I like the most about WebStorm. Also, I am comfortable using the same interface on all JetBrains products, as it is stylish and friendly.

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

You will surely find that the performance that WebStorm requires from a computer is high. It is not an application to use with less than 4 GB of RAM.

**Recommendations to others considering WebStorm:**

WebStorm is a highly competitive IDE for JavaScript programming. You can integrate it with Git. I recommend it.

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main reason I use WebStorm is because it can detect when I am writing some of the code wrong. Automatically detects all errors and suggests possible solutions. Also, it has very powerful tools for JavaScript, which is the language where I write websites and apps.

  ### 34. One of the my best to-go to development tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Calvince S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2020

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

For years, webstorm has been my no.1 development tool. The tools auto completion engine is unmatched. It has an intuitive yet easy to navigate UI with a plethora of features. What I love most the ability to integrate WS with JSIint and JSHint through npm.
Besides, instead of creating an express server, you can use the inbuilt web server. It helps in easy creation of web files.

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

Besides having Greta features, the cost is not easily affordable compared to alternative development tools.

Additionally, it needs good computer processing speed otherwise you will experience slow speeds.

**Recommendations to others considering WebStorm:**

If you’re a beginner, this might be the best IDE for you. However, for gurus in programming field, WS should be your to go to IDE.

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use the tool IDE for code maintenance and initialization. For development cycles it’s one of my best IDEs

  ### 35. A very useful code editor with many tools

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Regina P. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2020

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

This is a very versatile code editor which serves to edit what refers to programming codes especially dedicated to web pages, html, php or java, which allows us to change between one and the other among its multiple tools that we It allows both a debugger, a self-complement library for fast writing and real-time error stopping, this editor is widely used in various types of use both web design and server management to edit the codes to send, its design is intuitive and It allows us to differentiate what refers to different colors in the command lines, which allows us to focus more on the speed of the projects we carry out

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

I think a good way to edit would be to have the preview combined with the editor to analyze everything at the same time according to what we are editing

**Recommendations to others considering WebStorm:**

You can always find courses on this program, especially there free courses that I recommend that the same company of this program is the one that gives them,

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In the company they always send us a set of packages of scripts or complete projects which we focus on improving them or finding errors, since these have to do with different types of web services as well as packages to send to servers, this program Allows you to import and insert multiple scripts in a code already made to then export it already complete, or do some debugging as appropriate

  ### 36. The best Integrated Development Environment for Web Applications

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** erick v. | Videographer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2019

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

- Webstorm incorporates Nodejs integration to allow for debugging, running, and unit testing of nodejs applications
- There is an amazing implementation for code refactoring which helps to ensure that code can be easily maintained by tidying and cleaning it. Webstorm is very helpful here as it automatically refactors the code by performing functions on it such as extracting variables and methods, detection of functions, and moving files.
- It also integrates popular code quality (linting) tools such as JSHint and JSLint while others can be installed using npm. These tools are registered as inspections and can be customized within webstorm's settings
- There is a built-in web server in webstorm (as can be found in other jetbrains products) that can be ussed to serve files instead of creating an express server or any other kind of code that serves files.

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

- Webstorm is a premium application that costs a lot and does not make a lot of sense for startups especially when there are many alternatives that offer almost the same features. And even if you pay for the license, it does not allow you to modify the software in a way that you can call your own.
- It also occasionally registers slow performance but this is mostly dependant on your computers resources. If you have more than enough (say 8gb, 4 cores plus) then you won't ever experience any performance issues

**Recommendations to others considering WebStorm:**

This is definitely not a an IDE for absolute beginners and you must have some background in writing code and dealing with IDEs to get the most out of it.

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed an editor that I could rely on to abstract a lot of my development cycles such as npm and project initialization together with code maintenance and this IDE fit that profile well.

  ### 37. For many years, webstorm has been my best development tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pablo P. | Sr React Frontend Developer for Rand.com - Imageit, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2019

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

Webstorm is my tool by choice, it allows me to be more efficient and to work faster, Its completion engine is just amazing, and all the different features it has are always amazing.
I love how it is easy to arrange all windows in different monitors.
Webstorm comes packed with amazing utilities that will make any developer more efficient on windows, mac, or Linux.

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

Price, price, price. It comes to a very expensive but amazing tool.

**Recommendations to others considering WebStorm:**

Give it a try, check the keyboard cheatsheet and become better and faster developing your software.
It is costly but is for a reason, tools like VS Code are still far away from bringing the same functionality.

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem solved is increasing my performance as a developer. While developing, it will be helpful with code insights and finding what you look for to become better each day.
Also, it's probably the best tool I have used for debugging, and it helps to find errors if you learn how to use it fully.

  ### 38. The best IDE for web development

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samuel J. | Backend Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2019

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

- Native nodejs integration which allows for unit testing, debugging and running nodejs applicaitons
- SUpport for code refactoring so that code can be easily maintained. Webstorm can extract variables, functions, move files and extract inline variables.
- Popular code quality tools are integrated by default in webstorm. Such tools are JSHint, JSLint, and my favourite, ESLint. These tools can be customized to meet the user's needs in Webstorm's settings.
- Intelligent code completion tools as witnessed in sister application, Phpstorm. There is both structural completion and word expansion; where the former refers to predicting based on the IDE's understanding of Javascript and the latter means suggesting the current word being typed depending on the previously typed words.
- The built in webserver is defnitely a plus because changes to code can be viewed instantly.

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

 - Performs slowly from time to time. It is infamous for its high rates of CPU usage.
- Webstorm does not have a plugin repository that develops as rapidly as the one on vs code. You will find many plugin options for a particular problem from which you can choose whichever works for you in vs code. That is not the same with webstorm that has much fewer plugins

**Recommendations to others considering WebStorm:**

I will encourage you to give webstorm a try with the free 30 day window that comes with jetbrains proucts. This way, if you are not satisfied, you can ditch it after the period.

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use webstorm as the main IDE for writing our web applications because of its comprehensive support for the javascript language

  ### 40. The perfect IDE for ful stack web development

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ramos O. | IT Systems Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2019

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

i have been using a relatively uncommon javascript framework for UI, svelte, which is still not supported by most editors or IDEs. One of the most amazing things was when I downloaded the svelte project I was working on and opened it as webstorm project and it asked me if I wanted to install support for svelte as a language. That kind of IDE intelligence is something to be amazed at because there is always a guarantee that your IDE will support most of the technologies you choose to work with. This is my experience with webstorm.

Also, just to mention, webstorm also has an integrated terminal within it on which you can perform several operations.

Lastly, unike with other editors where you have to install file icons, Webstorm offers default icons that are both excellent and intuitive which makes flle identification simpler

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

I can't actually find something I dislike about webstorm. Most people mention that it could be slow to start but that's to be expected considering the fact that this is a full IDE which has a lot of functionality that it comes with by default.

**Recommendations to others considering WebStorm:**

After getting used to the IDE and knowing how to maximise your efforts on it, you will never regret the decision to use it

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company is in the process of shifting our system using sveltejs and the support that Webstorm has for the framework is quite frankly amazing. We have tried using other text editors but none of them has offered as extensive support as Webstorm currently has.

  ### 41. My experience about WebStorm

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rufat K. | Təssərrüfat müdürü, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2019

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

Pros - Integrated code quality tools, Advanced code completion, Goto Definition erişim, Debugging, Integrated command line, Integrated Jump support, Integrated testing tools, Quick update
New generation Javascript library support ( react, angular, node, require and more), free for lecturers, students or those with Edu mail.

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

Cons-Occasional performance problems, Mixed interface, Speed problems, Slow initial startup, $ 129 per year price and 30-day trial possibility.

**Recommendations to others considering WebStorm:**

Although I tried 2-3 years, I didn't get used to it. I have some friends who say it gets faster when I make some adjustments. But when I saw the speed of Sublime Text I couldn't pass. The interface doesn't appeal to me either.

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Webstorm is a web editor that you can use to design web pages that meet the latest standards. Webstorm is also one of the best Javascript IDEs developed by JetBrains. For this reason, Webstorm's motto is “smartest javascript IDE”.

  ### 42. A dependable IDE

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ochinjo J. | Web Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2019

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

Webstorm has intelligent code completion using both structural and word expansion where the latter makes predictions based on the previously typed text whereas the former predicts the next words based on webstorm understanding of the language (javascript mostly) being used. Both of these types of auto completion work magnificently and help to ease your prgramming tasks.
If you are not yet familiar with git or mercurial, webstorm still helps you to track changes in your file And keeps a history of these changes. It maintains a local history of the changes so that you can roll back to them any time. At the same time, Webstorm boasts a powerful Git and Github integration which adds an amazing visual interface for commiting changes, checking diffs, merging, pushing or pulling from github, rebasing, and checking the file version Control history.

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

Webstorm's main competition, VS code, still boasts a more robust plugin repository as almost all the frameworks and extensions have plugins on it. This is not not something that webstorm can claim since there are very many important plugins missing.
Non-native file systems cause issues on webstorm since the java wrapper around it does not watch for file changes hence you files might not be synchronized.

**Recommendations to others considering WebStorm:**

I love this IDE so much because of so very many features that cannot be listed in one sitting and I believe you'll enjoy using it too

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Webstorm has played an important role into how I develop nodejs applications because of its robust support for debugging and unit testing the library's projects

  ### 43. Best React IDE I've Used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2020

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

There are a tremendous amount of tools to assist with code cleanup and debugging, the user interface is nice looking/ clean.

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

The organization of the toolbar is a little confusing- there are a robust amount of tools but they aren't super easy to find.

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm building apps in ,
React, and I think the interface in this is far nicer and the tools to assist with code cleanup are better/ easier to use

  ### 44. Webstorm displays a lot of consistency with IDE rules

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lennox o. | Business Development Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2019

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

As is common in most Jetbrains products, Webstorm boasts an amazing code refactoring implementation which helps you manage your code in a clean and tidy manner. It can help you extract variables and functions off of your messy code and you'll be left with a much simpler and efficient code.
Webstorm's intelligent code completion feature also helps lessen your work load. To make structural code completions, the IDE has to understand your Javascript objects and it does this so well.
And of course the built in webserver makes it easier to test your code i a serve-like environment and not call them through file// format; and this you achieve without installing additional plugins or writing more code.

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

Sometimes Webstorm becomes a bit sluggish and performs slowly and even though this is something you would expect from an IDE that takes up all the computer's resources, it still frustrates you as the user.
There aren't enough web frameworks for Webstorm as there for other code editors like VS Code and Atom. Further, latest libraries are usually barely ever supported on the editor

**Recommendations to others considering WebStorm:**

I have used webstorm a lot and for every framework that it supported, I got excellent results. If you wish to try out this editor then by all means please do because you won't regret it.

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Because of its excellent Nodejs integration, we use webstorm a lot whenver we are buiding nodejs apps. Bulding these apps on webstorm has become quite easy and effective.

It is heavy, takes a load on your RAM. Not idle for someone who is looking for a lightweight editor

**Recommendations to others considering WebStorm:**

Webstorm is a great tool for frontend web & backend developers alike. It offers a lot of features which include but not limited to debugging, syntax support, run scripts, ECMAScript support, compile time File Watchers which all makes this IDE in the best in the market.

TypeScript development using Angular to create and support corporate software. Webstorm easily formats legacy code to make it readable. Also it's great tool for new projects. It's natively integrated with Git and other systems so you can visually merge without stress to loose changes or override something else's code.

**Recommendations to others considering WebStorm:**

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have worked with Webstorm on all our projects in my last organization. Our web as well all server-side Nodejs projects are built & maintained only with Webstorm since its debugging is so good that no other competitors come even close to it. Apart from the primary use of developing it is the ideal editor to test the code properly against test scripts.

  ### 48. Excellent style language editor, like JavaScript

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luis Ernesto R. | Licenciado en Informática, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2019

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

It is one of the best and most comprehensive editors currently available, with a great real-time error detection capability as we write the code, which helps a lot to maintain good syntax. One of the features of this program is its command library, which allows us to easily insert them into the code, and then proceed to debug it. The best part in this case is that we can do it as if we were the client. Additionally, its branched view allows us to see exactly where we want to make the edits as we conduct tests.

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

For those of us with more advanced knowledge in these topics, we might not be missing anything, but for new users, it would be advisable to have pre-installed codes ready to use and test in editing.

**Recommendations to others considering WebStorm:**

I recommend that as you work on your project, always check or debug to avoid errors.

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As we develop new technology for accessing information, this program is very useful when it comes to editing codes, whether for websites, automatic survey systems, or tweaking apps. As we progress in the development of applications, this program helps us check on the go to ensure there are no errors in the systems or projects we are developing, thus saving us a lot of time and effort in having to correct mistakes after the work is completed.

  ### 49. Amazing IDE for web development

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Krystall C. | Application Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2019

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

It's so easy that even our marketing and sales guys use this IDE and they understand it without much effort. Syntax highlighting is really clear and simple. You can open any file directly from the IDE in any browser with a click

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

Dreamweaver has better divided screen than Webstorm, that includes Desing and Code in the same Window, a feature like that is the only thing missing in Webstorm

**Recommendations to others considering WebStorm:**

This program is a nice to have, if you already have the all products pack or you only work with js and HTML then it's worth it but as a stand-alone tool is better to purchase Pycharm.

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

After I'm done with coding in Go or Python is just more comfortable to finish the web side in Webstorm because that's the main use of the tool and it's pretty well oriented to that task.

  ### 50. An all-round IDE for web development

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rickardo Penn O. | Junior Web Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2019

**What do you like best about WebStorm?**

Webstorm integrated code quality tools such as JSHint, ESLint within it by default and this is very helpful because there are developers, especially new ones, who still don't know how to configure their linting files but can still benefit a lot from the default configurations by webstorm
Webstorm has support for typescript which enhances writing typed javascript applications. This kind of coding increases the intellisense for code completion and improves code refactoring
There is also support for karma which can enable you to carry out unit tests as well as monitor code coverage
Webstorm's Live Templates feature reduces the amount of code that can be repeated because the code snippets contain variables and can be reused thus increasing productivity

**What do you dislike about WebStorm?**

As is the case with most jebtrains products, Webstorm occasionally exhibits slow performance and may not be very productive on machines with low RAM counts.
It's not possible to open multiple projects on the same webstorm window. To do so, you would have to open it in another instance and this will take a serious toll on not just your limited computer resources but also your laptop's battery's performance.
It is not open source so besides being required to pay for it, you can not also tweak its source code and use it how you wish.

**Recommendations to others considering WebStorm:**

If you are thinking of using webstorm then you're already on the right path to a successful web development career so by all means go ahead and install it.

**What problems is WebStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Webstorm is my primary IDE for working on all our web application projects from the frontend, to the serverside and even the database. This is the precise reason why I call it all-rounded.
