"Affordable, Efficient Pen Testing with Room for Improvement"
3.5/5
What do you like best about vPenTest?

I really appreciate the ease of setup and deployment with vPenTest. It's fantastic that I can initiate a test within just a few hours after a client request, which is a significant improvement over the traditional penetration testing methods that could take days or even weeks. This quick setup is especially helpful when clients need solutions quickly and efficiently. Additionally, the quality of the whitelabeled final report is outstanding. It goes beyond merely listing findings; it provides a comprehensive workflow process that explains to clients exactly what was done during the testing. This not only enhances clarity for the clients but also adds a level of professionalism to the services that we offer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about vPenTest?

I find that vPenTest often struggles with identifying hostnames of IPs. This issue persists despite the fact that the necessary data should be accessible through a simple IP scan, leading me to believe there might be something malfunctioning or missing in the scanner's operation. "Simple Integrations and Intuitive Configuration"
5/5
What do you like best about vPenTest?

I like vPenTest because it makes it easier to schedule tests, saving me time and effort in managing security. I also greatly value the integration of vPenTest with other Kaseya modules like Dark Web ID and VulScan, as it provides me with a more comprehensive and efficient solution for monitoring the cybersecurity of my infrastructure. Additionally, the ease of initial configuration of vPenTest is something I appreciate, because it allowed me to start using the software without complications. Finally, my satisfaction with these aspects is reflected in my willingness to recommend vPenTest to a friend or colleague, rating it a 10 on a likelihood of recommendation scale. "Good Product but Not a Fit for Us"
2.5/5
What do you like best about vPenTest?

I found the vPenTest product to be very good and very well built, indicating a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail in its development. I appreciated the product's ease of integration, which suggests that incorporating it into existing systems was streamlined and efficient. Additionally, the user interface was very user-friendly, making the experience of navigating the software intuitive and accessible even to those who may not be as technically inclined. Despite the fact that our clients needed more robust reporting capabilities, these aspects of the product stood out as particularly effective and well-executed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about vPenTest?

I found the setup process to be moderately challenging, rating it a six out of ten. Despite the product being well-built, it did not integrate well with our existing technology stack, and our clients required more robust reporting than the product offered. Additionally, I am not in favor of a recurring monthly cost structure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive Reports with Room for Improvement"
4/5
What do you like best about vPenTest?

I love the awesome report feature in vPenTest. It is very complete and detailed, which helps me immensely in summarizing the main causes of security issues and pointing out the security weaknesses for each type. It also aids in evaluating the overall security system effectively. Additionally, the initial setup was easy for my team, making it simple to integrate and start using the software without hassle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about vPenTest?

I am not satisfied with vPenTest's inability to expose firmware vulnerabilities of network devices. This is a critical aspect of assessing network security, and the software does not highlight firmware vulnerabilities such as outdated firmware or provide recommendations for upgrading to newer firmware. "vPenTest review"
4/5
What do you like best about vPenTest?

What I like best about vPenTest is that it gives us continuous, on-demand penetration testing at a cost that makes sense for a mid-sized manufacturer. The dashboards make it easy to communicate risks to leadership, while the technical detail is thorough and actionable for my IT team. Unlike a traditional pen test that’s just once a year, I can re-run vPenTest after changes to our environment, and it validates real exploits instead of only flagging vulnerabilities. It’s reliable, easy to use, and provides both executive-level insights and technical remediation guidance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about vPenTest?

What I dislike about vPenTest is that while the reporting is thorough, some of the findings can feel repetitive between scans if issues aren’t closed quickly, which makes it a little noisy. Also, while it’s excellent for automated penetration testing, it doesn’t completely replace a traditional human-led pen test in areas like social engineering or very advanced attack simulation. That said, it still gives us a strong level of coverage and value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly Tool with Effective Vulnerability Detection"
4/5
What do you like best about vPenTest?

I found vPenTest easy to use even as someone new to the field. It helped me shore up our defenses effectively. The whole experience with vPenTest was smooth. Setting it up was pretty straightforward; I just had to fire it up myself since my coworkers had used it before. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about vPenTest?

I know this is niche, but finding help videos for my specific attempts were hard to find, but again, I understand I was looking for more walkthrough style things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about vPenTest?

i honestly cannot think of anything. The interface is intuitive, the price is right, and it always performs without hiccup. I would love to see a full integration with a vulnerability scanner for a one stop go to for vuln/pentest scanning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient, scalable, and reliable penetration testing platform"
5/5
What do you like best about vPenTest?

vPenTest makes penetration testing highly efficient by automating repetitive tasks while still providing deep manual testing flexibility. I really like how it streamlines reporting, making it easier to deliver professional, actionable results without spending hours formatting. The platform scales well across different environments, integrates cleanly with CI/CD workflows, and the dashboards are intuitive, giving a clear picture of vulnerabilities and remediation priorities. It’s particularly helpful for quickly identifying risks while still supporting in-depth validation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about vPenTest?

While powerful, the platform can sometimes feel restrictive when performing very advanced or niche attack simulations that require custom tooling beyond what’s built in. Certain integrations could be more seamless, especially with ticketing systems and external vulnerability management platforms. The learning curve can also be a bit steep for new users who aren’t already familiar with penetration testing workflows. That said, once you get used to it, these downsides are manageable compared to the overall value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
