The ease and speed of the scanner are second to none. Using this tool everyday on our fit and wear testers speed and accuracy are so important and Volumental gives us that. Then after the scan and walking through the details with the testers really put everything in an easy to understand visual and helps create trust with our testers and other departments that we are giving the best feedback to the team. What problems is Volumental solving and how is that benefiting you? When it comes to fitting and wear testing footwear in early stages of development you need to know the actual foot details giving feedback on prototypes…is the feedback because of the shoe or does this tester have a narrow heel….is this tester testing the correct size or do they just want to be sample size? There is no hiding when you have a scan that automatically shows how that tester compares to the global/regional population to make sure we are making shoes that will fit and will be well received. What I like best about Volumental is the immediate trust it builds between our staff, our customers, and our professional medical network. With a decade of experience in the run specialty industry, I have found that data-driven transparency is the most effective way to empower a team and provide a consistent, high-level fitting experience. Objective Credibility: The combination of 3D scanning and pressure analysis moves the conversation from subjective "feel" to objective evidence. It allows our in-store Team to show customers exactly how they interact with the ground, creating a shared understanding of their biomechanical needs. Professional Networking: This level of technical detail provides immense credibility when we collaborate with our local clinical partners. Having a common language based on high-fidelity scan data bridges the gap between the retail floor and professional medical care. If I had a dislike it would revolve around deeper "educational" transparency. While the scan data is excellent, I would love to see the platform provide more "why" behind its recommendations. As someone who prioritizes a "Never. Not. Learning." culture, having more insight into the specific logic the algorithm uses would be a powerful training tool for my Team. What problems is Volumental solving and how is that benefiting you? For us, Volumental solves the "sizing paradox" by removing the guesswork that often complicates the fitting process. While the traditional Brannock device was a useful tool for decades, it remained susceptible to human error—if a foot wasn't positioned perfectly or the sliders weren't aligned, the reading was compromised. Scanning removes that variable, providing an objective and high-fidelity picture of a runner's unique foot characteristics. The most significant benefit is how the platform establishes immediate trust through impactful visuals. Being able to highlight specific measurements and point out the variations between the left and right foot is a game-changer for customer education. It helps the individual understand exactly why shoes feel a certain way or why they might require a specific size or shape. When a customer can see their own data, the conversation shifts from a subjective "guess" to a professional consultation based on their personal foot shape. This technical transparency also extends to our professional network, providing a credible foundation for collaboration with clinical partners. Ultimately, this technology empowers the team to lead with expertise, ensuring a consistent and professional experience for every individual who walks through our doors. It's very easy and logical for customers to use, with no questions ever asked. We experience a lower return rate because the measurement of Volumental works well, especially in combination with our description of how to interpret the outcome. Sharing the data on WhatsApp or email could be more straightforward, instead of relying on screenshots.
