## About Voco AI Receptionist
Voco is an AI phone receptionist built for small businesses in the United Kingdom. It answers inbound calls around the clock, including nights, weekends and bank holidays, so that enquiries are captured when a business owner cannot pick up. Calls are answered in the business name using a custom greeting. The system holds a natural spoken conversation rather than presenting a phone menu, captures the caller name, number, location, job type and urgency, and sends a written summary by SMS and email as soon as the call ends. Where the caller wants an appointment, Voco checks live availability and books directly into Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, Apple Calendar or Cal.com. Call handling is configured per business. Account holders set their own rules for how different call types are treated, and industry triage applies different question sets to trades, healthcare and property enquiries. Keyword detection flags urgent calls such as leaks, lockouts and emergency repairs so they are escalated ahead of routine enquiries. Returning callers are recognised and previous conversations are recalled. Every call is logged with a transcript and recording in an analytics dashboard. Integrations cover HubSpot for CRM call logging, Jobber for converting calls into job requests, Fixflo for repairs and maintenance, and WhatsApp for notifications. Each account includes a UK local or 03 telephone number. Voco is used by tradespeople including plumbers, electricians, HVAC engineers and locksmiths, by dental, physiotherapy, private and cosmetic clinics, and by estate agents, letting agents and property managers. Call data is processed under a standard ICO approved data processing agreement and the company is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office. Voco handles inbound calls only and does not place outbound marketing calls. Pricing is subscription based, with a call allowance on each plan and a per call rate beyond it. A spend cap set by the account holder limits overage charges without cutting calls off. A pay as you go option with no monthly fee is available for lower or less predictable call volumes.
