The ability not to have to have a dedicated storage device (cost saving) and to be able to use existing hardware and storage on that hardware or even newer hardware at a fraction of the cost of buying separate storage and compute. The feature completeness. UI is not bad, UX is also average. Best integration in the market, and performance among the top. However, the price is too steep, and Support is restricted to Partners. The most "worst" aspect of vSAN is its cost and the addition of AI. While AI can be beneficial, it feels bloated.
