The wide range of features and the complexity of the interface can seem overwhelming at first, requiring time and effort to fully familiarize myself with all the software's functionalities. **What problems is Vivado Design Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** With Vivado Design Suite, I solve the challenge of developing complex digital systems, from conception to implementation. It allows me to design and implement advanced digital circuits, optimizing the performance, efficiency, and reliability of my hardware. ### 2. There could be more practical examples to enhance the user's experience and stimulate the user to continue to utilize the software. **What problems is Vivado Design Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am a researcher at an University and I need to do a lot of protypes to test things before the physical implementantion. The Hardware-in-the-Loop implementation gives me the oportunity to do so testing the software in real conditions. Also, as we are evolving to utilize higher switching frequencies in our converters and the FPGA boards are perfect for this case. As Vivado Design Suite has a good integration with MATLAB/SIMULINK it makes our reseachs easier to test and implement. ### 3. Vivado was produced and is maintained by Xilinx, one of the largest manufacturers of FPGAs in the world, making it the "go-to" in that space. It includes everything an embedded FPGA engineer could want, including (but not limited to) in-context file editing, high-level synthesis, bitstream management, and simulation. **What do you dislike about Vivado Design Suite?** Especially on Windows operating systems, the Vivado Design Suite tends to become buggy after extended periods of use, forcing the user to either restart Vivado or re-create the project. While this is not as much of an issue on Linux systems, the problem still does exist. **What problems is Vivado Design Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** Vivado is my go-to solution when I need to develop and program an FPGA or hybrid device. ### 7. So, it's an excellent tool for the electronics industry. **What do you dislike about Vivado Design Suite?** It takes a lot of time for generating and synthesis of the code that we feed in and it requires a lot of space, so mainly time and space complexity is a major issue. **What problems is Vivado Design Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** It eases up a lot of things in the electronics and communications industry. This is an excellent tool for embedded and VLSI design and good for a plethora of circuits. ### 8. The software is well-designed and user-friendly, allowing users to write RTL codes in VHDL, Verilog, and System Verilog **What do you dislike about Vivado Design Suite?** It is a bit hard to get into and initially get a hang of. So for beginners it may be daunting to get acclimated to the ecosystem. However, the UI and and the overall ease of access of things make it worth the intial grind. **What problems is Vivado Design Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** Once you get the hang of it, it is very easy to use and work with. It generates files that are industry standard and overall pretty indispensible. HLS was pretty fun too. ### 9. Simulate the design, can see the gate-level netlists, and do the complete implementation till bit file generation. 3- We can also use the software to do the hardware level testing connecting it to different FPGA's by XILINX and can see how the code written by the user is behaving/giving outputs. 4- It can also be used to do timing analysis. 5- Both PS and PL parts of XILINX FPGAs can be configured using the software. **What do you dislike about Vivado Design Suite?** The software can be improved if we can also take the simulation output in .csv format. **Recommendations to others considering Vivado Design Suite:** It is a very well-designed tool that I feel is best in the market for XILINX FPGAs as per usability and user-friendly experience. **What problems is Vivado Design Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am using VIVADO to do FPGA(XILINX) Design and implementation. ### 10. Too many helpful IPs, with example designs and documentations. 2. Coding Guidlines (Layout available). 3. Regular updates. 4. Improved drastically wrt previous year releases. 5. Best UI. 6. Block Design support makes it easier to integrate RTLs and IPs visually. **What do you dislike about Vivado Design Suite?** I have seen a few synthesis errors that do not show up until implementation. I have had many situations when multiple driven nets errors didn't appear at all, and Vivado generated the ".bit" file. Due to this, I had faced a lot of problems in the past. Some of the Vivado IPs lack proper explanation in the documentation. Their forum support for most complex IPs is a little less. I would expect better support for complex IPs. **What problems is Vivado Design Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** RTL Designing, Verification, Synthesis, Placement, Routing, Schematic Understanding. It is one of the best EDA tools for FPGA, hands down. It has a very user-friendly UI. The inbuilt simulator is on par with Questa for direct stimulus-based test benches. Too many IPs makes the RTL Designing process smoother. Efficient and brilliant IP Designs by the Xilinx team. There is excellent support by Xilinx if you can contact them via mail.
