I like VisualSitemaps because it lets me visually check my sites, client sites, and competitor sites, which is just awesome. The visual representation solves the problem of seeing how websites are constructed, and it takes only a few minutes to understand how a site is structured and where improvements are needed. The ability to see the web design structure is invaluable. I also appreciate the tool for redoing sites, where I can show clients how much more logical their sites are after making changes. The initial setup of VisualSitemaps is incredibly simple, just putting in the URL. Amidst a sea of similar web tools, VisualSitemaps truly stands out as something unique. It’s one of those rare tools that makes you wonder why no one thought of it sooner—it’s such a clever idea to be able to see an entire website laid out visually. I have used it countless times to highlight issues to potential clients, coordinate with my team on how we want to organize content, and provide prospects and leads with insights about their websites that they may not have even realized. When I initially began using it, I was a bit disappointed by the lack of flexibility in moving cells and rearranging the visual layout of pages as I preferred. However, it appears that this feature has since been added, as I can now move things the way I want. As a result, there is now very little, if anything, that I dislike about it! The visual is cool, but I find the spreadsheet more helpful with content audits. With Large sites, the visual sitemap is too much to be very helpful to me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This tool is so powerful, it's difficult to describe. I'm looking to move quickly through requirements phase of a project and building a site map is a key deliverable in that step. Even with it's super slick and intuitive design, I wanted reassurance on how the credits worked and what was the best practice to be efficient with the credits. So I reached out to the help chat and got a REAL person almost immediately. He was able to answer my questions, validate my approach to efficiency, and helped me select the best plan per my use case. Pricing is better compared to other similar tools. We have been looking for a sitemap visaulitazion tool and we settle on Visual Sitemaps. Pricing allow us to have multiple users under a package compared to other tools where we would have to pay for each user.

Functionality wise tool is great. Once we crawl a site we can then duplicate it, upload and replace the page preview. This is good to showcase either proposed wireframes or new design. We can also reorganized pages, add comments on new design, etc. This allows us to present a proposed sitemap to our client in a visual way and not the old way with just PDFs.

The crawl sitemap also retrieves page SEO metadata (title, description), as well as H1 and H2 headings.

We had only contact support once and it was quick and very helpful.

Dark mode: I do not like dark modes anywhere. Our team do not seem to care but I would love if there was a way to switch dark mode off.

Workspaces: Within the app you are giving one workspace and that's were all the projects are. We would love the ability to add multiple workspaces for the multiple teams we have. It's a really interesting solution that allows you to create sitemaps that provide up-to-date screengrabs of the pages. Allows you to reconfigure for testing or to query issues with tags to your web-dev or CRO team. There's much more but simply put it's a solution that never left my mind from the first time I used it in 2020. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Running multiple sitemaps for the same site over a short period can sometimes result in gaps, so it's not consistent if you need on the hour updates. It's much better if you can pull the new sitemaps on a daily or every half day. So for updating during a campaign it won't be very useful, but that's also not the goal of Visual Sitemaps. Being able with a few clicks to capture an entire website. Doing this manually was a nightmare. This automation has been fantastic.
