Given the Host server(s) run on Linux and not Windows, the deployment is also simpler and aleviates constantly having to patch Windows and worry about security. A simple cron job takes care of that. The interface is also very user friendly and modern with all the relevant statistical information displayed live and formatted very nicely. I was suprised at how responsive the support was for even the simplest questions and how there is an entire knolegeable team supporting the product 24/7. In terms of features and functionality, it all depends on the license purchased as more options apper the higher the license type. In terms of backup features the solution supports the most popular virtualization platforms like VMware and Proxmax as well as Agent-based backups, own Nas and AWS as well as local storage of all kinds. One can start with a free perpetual license for up to 3 VM's and also test Vinchin's full power using the 60 day trial Enterprise license that unlocks all features, even Office 365 Backups using Azure whereby your Azure ID can be auto-created by Vinchin based on your Microsoft account credentials to simplify deployment. The solution can be used daily manually or setup to be fully automated and it seamlesly integrates with 3rd party solutions. I especially like that the Vinchin team is constantly improving their offering and new versions & revisions are coming out with more and more features all the time. **What do you dislike about Vinchin Backup & Recovery?** Nothing in software is perfect, so there are quirks in the Vinchin interface that I am sure will be remedied in time but they are not showstoppers by any means. Some of the logic and workflow in the interface may seem strange, but once you get used to it it really is not a big deal. It was very easy to implementing by few click for the installation. It using linux thus you can almost forget the extra window license like other backup software. Most importance is it have ransomware protection to protect the backup data under the hood so you can almost forget the additional ransomware antivirus for backup server.
