I appreciate that aspect of their service. **What do you dislike about Verblio?** It's hard to get a writer for projects, and the work provided is often very low quality. You end up either having to send things back for major revisions or do those revisions yourself—which defeats the purpose of hiring a freelancer at a certain point. It's as simple as that: If you're not getting quality content, there's no point in hiring the service. Their whole format is likely causing a lot of these problems. Writers aren't paid until you accept their piece—but you also don't get to communicate with them until they submit the first draft. You don't even get to look at their qualifications and choose a writer. So they may well spend a lot of time on a piece, and you can't accept it because the content went over their head, and now they're probably mad that they weren't paid, but you still don't have any content for your site. **What problems is Verblio solving and how is that benefiting you?** Verblio was supposed to help me create content quickly, but they failed. We are less hesitant to give new writers a chance for fear of losing credits, and new writers can more easily build their"portfolio" and rank on Verblio. **What do you dislike about Verblio?** I think there should be better screening for applicants to join the pool of writers for Verblio. Although we have had mostly positive experiences with writers, there are occasions where we try out new writers and they are quite disappointing. Their grammar will be terrible, almost entirely ignore our writing style, and even produce multiple spelling mistakes that could be avoided with a simple proofread. I don't use that PayPal email much - so I missed the charge e-mails. I was charged 3-months in a row for a SERVICE that I didn't receive. This is not software - why am I being charged regularly? They also don't provide any reasoning for why the deadline was missed. This has caused me to miss deadlines with clients, which can be frustrating. Also, some of the writers are not great writers. You have to weed them out until you find the preferred ones. We ended up re-creating their setup form on our own website to achieve a better process. Hiring Verblio ended up causing 20+ hours of rewrites. We sent customer support proof and acknowledged the incident and said they would give us credit to redo them. However, after a month and multiple follow-ups, we still get a notice stating that the resolution is pending and there's no timeline on when things will be resolved. At this time, we've had to make a decision to re-do it in order to meet our deadline. It's one thing to not have a trusted QA process for plagiarism (as a content writing service). I'd have to say: TALENTED WRITERS After years of working with other "solutions" we were extremely frustrated and wasting a lot of time reworking articles we paid other people to write due to writers not doing their research, using poor grammar and misspelling words (English was not their first language), and lazily copying other existing articles and only changing wording slightly (I wasn't ethically comfortable with the copyright infringement). There was also a lot of silly instances of what we call "filler text" in which the writers stuffed in meaningless words to get to the word count instead of providing valuable content that flowed nicely. Verblio has talented writers that clearly speak English and have knowledge in the fields they submit topics about or are willing to research them. We like that we can assign writers as well as prefer writers for different clients and that longer documents can only be written by those who've proven themselves. We also like that sometimes there is more than one article to chose from! CLEAN DASHBOARD FOR ORGANIZATION Other writers networks we tapped into didn't offer a clear organized dashboard for our purchases OR a white label option where clients can review content and suggest changes. EASY TO MAKE REQUESTS Some of the options we've tried did not allow for us to expand on requests. We'd submit a topic, tiny description, and highlight keywords. PERIOD. Verblio allows me provide a clear outline of info, upload helpful files, assign writers, and set due dates. FAST TURN AROUND Other solutions took over a week to respond, sometimes longer. With Verblio I sometimes have responses in less than 24 hours which is handy when we are in a pinch! **What do you dislike about Verblio?** I'd love to have the option to move credits between accounts without contacting a manager, or order different sized pieces of content within one client account. Blog Writing: Most of the blogs we got from the Verblio writers were on point. It's nice that Verblio has writers with dedicated industry experience, so your blog posts are written by someone that has worked or is currently working in the industry. This makes life easier since you don't have to teach the writers the basics of your industry or the markets that your company serves. In my experience, providing detailed feedback and clear communication to the writers about changes and your goal of the blog post is crucial.
