Theoretically, Verblio has a great setup for writing briefs and submitting them. I appreciate that aspect of their service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's hard to get a writer for projects, and the work provided is often very low quality. You end up either having to send things back for major revisions or do those revisions yourself—which defeats the purpose of hiring a freelancer at a certain point. It's as simple as that: If you're not getting quality content, there's no point in hiring the service. Their whole format is likely causing a lot of these problems. Writers aren't paid until you accept their piece—but you also don't get to communicate with them until they submit the first draft. You don't even get to look at their qualifications and choose a writer. So they may well spend a lot of time on a piece, and you can't accept it because the content went over their head, and now they're probably mad that they weren't paid, but you still don't have any content for your site.
