Veeam Backup for AWS Reviews & Product Details

It is a very helpful software if you are working with AWS. It helped me to protect/backup my data by providing essential features like data recovery, replication, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It was great to use overall but it would be great to have some more documentation around it. Also adding some more minor examples around it would be great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use AWS EC2 and RDS databases extensively for personal as well as professional use, and along with it I started using Veeam Backup which helps me to make sure everything will be okay even in worst-case scenarios, I use Veeam to prevent data loss and till-date my experience with this tool is very satisfying. The best part is it allows flexible backup scheduling options like incremental backups and its performance is too good during restoring the data and it is easy to use for new users as well. It is a bit expensive for some advanced features like cross-region and cross-account copy. The interface can be made simpler by adding more shortcuts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

what i like best about Veeam backup is the user interface that makes setting up everything easier. also loving the flexibility and granulity it provides in its service. i can even backup whole vms at once! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

many people have reported and i have also personally experienced the time delays when handling very large VMs, it took me literal hours to work with those. so get a good cup of coffee going when you are working with that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that Veeam Backup for AWS is an easy-to-use, cost-effective solution for backing up AWS resources. It provides a reliable backup and recovery solution tailored to AWS users' needs, allowing them to back up and restore their data quickly and efficiently. It also offers scalability, allowing users to add more storage capacity easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The biggest dislike for Veeam Backup for AWS is that it is not a free product and can be costly for organizations needing frequent backups. Also, Veeam Backup for AWS does not have the same level of features as some competitors, such as the ability to restore multiple versions of files or whole systems. The best thing about Veeam Backup is its automatic backup system and support with native support with amazon web service. it's super-fast and low in cost. best backup service for the cloud Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Veeam Backup is one of the best cloud fully automatic backup services along with a Data Recovery feature. everything is perfect for veeam. and their is nothing to dislike about veeam Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

VEEAM for AWS was easy to setup and get running. After it was running it worked without incident and was easy to use for our backups as well as DR backups to S3. The product also is affordable UNLESS you use Marketplace assets (see dislikes). I would recommend this product for any customer using standard AWS AMI's but I would encourage caution if someone uses licensed Marketplace assets (see dislikes) as you may get surprised by additional charges. I noticed one flaw that I saw as a major issue. Unfortunately VEEAM doesnt seem to want to address it. This issue will affect anyone using a Marketplace license for a system (Red Hat, Suse, etc). These licenses tag their primary disk with the license. When VEEAM creates a backup it creates a snapshot and then a new volume from the snapshot, mounting it on a worker instance of your sizing. Because it mounts the volume of the system being backed up and because that volume is tagged as a licensed system you will be getting charged an additional hourly marketplace charge for that licensed system. If you have a large amount of these systems this can get VERY expensive as these will also be hourly charges outside of your license contract.

I really wish VEEAM would look at this issue but so far their response was "this is working as intended." So now I must look elsewhere. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There Are Nothing To Argue, But I Dissatisfied about their Customer Support and Documentation For the Backup and Recovery Setup. And More Over to that There Are Not Better Way to Manage RBAC For The Users. which Can Affect For Big Organisations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Nowadays cloud computing is the most prominent part of any engineering field. By using Veeam, our company found it easy to manage with Data protection, Data Recovery and Data Recovery Management. It's highly compatible with AWS and many more clouds. AWS while working fine for data procedures, Veeam works absolutely great with its data recovery and protection. Hassle free connection between the two makes the data crunching perfect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We couldn't find any dislike from the most of the clouds systems but the Veeam could expand more with the other kind of products like Salesforce, Microsoft ERP systems, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Veeam has a scheduler using which you can automate backup for specific periods. It also helps restore data during disasters by creating multiple replicas across various regions. It's fully automated and secured. Veeam offers excellent capabilities in the free edition. AWS S3 bucket can be replicated across numerous areas within lighting speed. Veeam is a great offering and makes things simple by automating the backup process. Aurora DB restoration for multi-cluster needs manual creation of secondary clusters. There are some certificate file limitations imposed for Veeam linking. For EC2 the minimum configuration required is t3.medium. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best part about veeam is the ease of setup and the reliability. The support in case of any issues ( read rare ) is very fast and flawless. This integration with AWS is very decent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The tool just works like a charm and you rarely face issues. The only downside I can think off is the cost involved. The licensing cost is high and require separate licenses for each user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
