- We are 6 days outside of the initial 30-day window account opening window.

- Contacted support to get the remaining, unused balance refunded to our account as that is our money, not UpCloud.

- Support pushed back saying it's not possible, as it's in the Terms of Service: https://upcloud.com/terms-of-service/

- We continued to discuss back and forth via email, support confirming that when an account is closed, the balance is absorbed by UpCloud, not returned to the customer. (Last time I checked, that's robbery, regardless of written policy.)

- Support's quoted response: "...If I am to offer any advice for your dealings in the future, demanding us to break the agreement because it suits you, will not garner any good will in any forum you seek. The rules are in place for a reason and will not be broken just because you demand it so. Please feel free to report or leave account open so funds can be used later. But if you want the account deleted, the funds will go away..."

- Then to top it off, we had auto-billing enabled for when the balance falls below a set amount, it would auto-debit the company account. The support team, took it upon themselves, to continue trying to cancel the account (which is what we asked for), which resulted in the balance hitting zero. So the balance we had was wiped out and then we were charged again.

- I had to request a manager twice in order to get some kind of acknowledgment of the request. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like Upcloud on 3 things:

1. Easy to deploy and destroy

2. Their SSD speed is fast.

As an early adopter of technology I wanted to try out the Upcloud tech stack as it claimed to be the world's fastest cloud servers

The speed isn't great as its painted out to be.

Cost is more expensive then whats it says on the tin.

Despite next to no usage the average monthly bill is $15 to $20 event on the lowest tier package.

UpCloud provides one of the fastest web servers, I have been using UpCloud for about a year now and have never faced a single issue till now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Well the first thing we love is just how passionate these guys are for performance. Their MaxIOPS technology really rocks (both disk and network). Compared to everything else we've tried the UpCloud instances are super snappy. We switched out from AWS/DigitalOcean after we had run a number of tests to verify the claims. We haven't really found much not to like. The dashboard is very easy to use, the servers are easy to provision, and we can understand the billing (which is more than we can say for many others). If I had to come up with something - I dunno, maybe a better way to create servers in bulk. They are doing good as far as we are concerned. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ease of use, managing existing servers and deploying new ones couldn't be much easier. Excellent performance. User friendly L3 firewall makes managing filtering rules a joy. Customer service is quick and friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Web console, while rarely needed, could use a makeover, typing special characters doesn't seem to work very well. Billing reports are very detailed but could be easier to read, e.g. per server summaries would be nice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We used upcloud when we were getting a lot of strange hits to the Natureday.com site.

It is hard to name one feature. We love UpCloud! This is a kind of service that once you use it, you always compare others to UpCloud. We've tried DO, Vultr, Linode they are all good but UC is simply the best. I love performance that feels like bare metal, fastest backups / restore on the market and superior customer service.
