What do you like best about Unreal Text-to-Speech API?

Unreal Speech is great. The service does exactly what it says it does, and is extremely affordable. They have a generous free tier and their reasonably priced paid plans blow the competition out of the water. Their team is quick to respond to inquires and support, which is critical for business use cases. The TTS output is clear and sounds great, with documentation that makes it easy to intergrate into my products. What do you dislike about Unreal Text-to-Speech API?

I would like to see Unreal Speech focus on certain less common words & phrases that sometimes get mispronounced (such as numbers & prices). I personally think improving the overall realism of the output (it's great but can be distinguished from more expensive services like Eleven Labs) is more important than multi-language support. What do you like best about Unreal Text-to-Speech API?

It produce much more consistent speech than 11labs while being so much cheaper. I've tried AWS polly, Microsoft Azure Cognitive Speech Services, and Google Speech to Text, and it's cheaper and produces better speech than all of them. Very easy to use. Very easy to implement. What do you dislike about Unreal Text-to-Speech API?

I'm running into bugs while generating speech more than 1,000 characters with Python API. and I wish there were more than 5 voices. Sometimes it pronounces things wrong, but that's an acceptable sacrifice given it's very low latency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Unreal Text-to-Speech API solving and how is that benefiting you?

We're using Unreal Text-to-speech for AI calling B2B in the USA. It's so much cheaper than the competitors. It's also faster. 9/10 would use it again. I like all the voices, it's clear they put a lot a lot of effort into having 5 (as of 2/9/24) voices all highly tuned for quality rather than hundreds of voices (Looking at you, Google and Microsoft) that aren't as good. It's especially good vs 11labs, because 11labs is about $300 per 1 million characters while Unreal Speech is about $8 per million, and it never has a weird demon voice that 11labs sometimes has. For comparison, Microsoft, Azure, and AWS are all $16 per million characters. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Unreal Text-to-Speech API?

I've been looking for a text to speech solution for producing audiobooks. I was experimenting with API access to Chat GPT's TTS service. Then also try to paid plan with 11 Labs. But after now trying Unreal Speech, I think this is the one. Chat GPT was too complicated, and 11 Labs too expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Unreal Text-to-Speech API?
