"Tufin Orchestration Suite Simplifies Our Firewall Management and Change Process" 5/5 What do you like best about Tufin Orchestration Suite? The features I use the most is Secure Track because it provides excellent visibility into firewall policies across multiple vendors from a single console. We manage different security platforms, and having a centralized dashboard saves a significant amount of time during troubleshooting, audits, and policy reviews. I also use Secure Change extensively. The workflow automation has helped standardize firewall change requests across teams. The approval process, task tracking, implementation validation, and documentation are all managed with the platform, making operations much more organized. Another feature I value is the policy analysis and risk identification capability. Before implementing a firewall rule, we can review the impact and identify potential issues. This helps reduce configuration mistakes and improves security posture. The user interface is clean and easy to navigate once familiar with the workflows. Reports are detailed and useful for operational reviews, compliance audits, and management presentations. Integration is another strong area. Tufin works well with multiple firewall vendors, which is important in large enterprise environments. This allows us to manage policies consistently across the network without switching between multiple management consoles. The support team has also been responsive whenever we have needed assistance. During onboarding and product upgrades, the support engineers provided useful guidance and helped resolve issues quickly. From an ROI perspective, the time saved through automation, faster change processing, and simplifies audits has provided significant value to our organization. The platform provides many advance features, so new users may require some time to fully understand all Secure Track and Secure Change capabilities. During the initial onboarding period, our team spent time learning the different workflows, reports and policy analysis functions. However, once the platform is configured and users become familiar with it, daily operations become much smoother. I would like to see additional out of the box dashboards and more customizable reporting options for specific business requirements. The current reporting capabilities are already powerful, but having more predefined templated could make reporting even faster. Apart from that, the platform has been stable and reliable in our environment. The continuous improvements, strong multi-vendor support, automation capabilities, and policy intelligence features make it a valuable solution for large-scale firewall management and security operations. I have been using Tufin Orchestration Suite for more than 2 years in one of the India's largest enterprise environments, where we manage a large number of firewalls across different vendors. We use both Secure Track and Secure Change daily as part of our firewall operations and governance process. Before implementing Tufin, firewall rule reviews, compliance checks, and change request tracking were mostly manual and required significant efforts from multiple teams. It was difficult to understand rule usage, identify risky access, and maintain proper documentation for audits. Secure Track gives us centralized visibility of our entire firewall environment. We use it regularly to review firewall policies, identify unused rules, detect risky configurations, analyze traffic paths, and generate compliance reports. The policy analysis helps us make informed decisions before making changes. Secure Change has significantly improved our change management workflow. Firewall requests are now processed through a structured approval process with proper tracking, validation, and documentation. Instead of managing requests through emails and spreadsheets, we can track the complete lifecycle of a change request from submission to implementation. The biggest benefit for our team is the reduction in manual work and faster turnaround time for firewall changes. Great tool that simplifies pushing changes to your firewalls. Works across a great number of different devices. It offers up some good customizability in form of limiting user access, creating workflows to suit different needs in SecureChange and also gives you a way to define a zone-based policy in which you can decide what to auto permit and what you want to halt in the queue for further investigation before pushing the changes to your firewalls, or if you wish to you can also deny these requests. It doesn't matter if you are deploying Tufin to and existing environment or a brand new one, you set the pace for how much you want to automate. Initially you can use it just to see keep track of your firewalls and any ticket you add can be manually handled outside of Tufin, and when you are ready to turn on the power you can allow automated approvals as you go along. It is also very straight forward to keep up to date. And should anything go wrong during an upgrade you can easily roll back or get good help from the excellent support at Tufin. If there was a way to allow connections to your intermediate routers without requiring a license or at least a much cheaper license than is currently offered that would alleviate some pains in keeping a up to date topology. If your environment consists of many firewalls spread across a big network with many routers "just routing" you may find that you will need to update your own "generic devices" as they are called in Tufin just to keep the topology in check with reality. It makes my life so much easier and saves a lot of time for my daily tasks. The best example of how much we (as a firewall team) love and need Tufin is the fact that when we got some problems with Tufin and Tufin is "out of order" every member of my team keeps shouting on me "Robert ! It is a very complex product and I see so often that even Tufin supporters are struggling to find and fix the issue with Tufin. It takes them very often way too much time to fix what is broken. And I trully hate supporting model when Tufin supporters keeps sending knowledge base articles to fix the issue on our own instead of suggesting a meeting when they could investigate the issue and definitely speed up the time to resolve the issue. What problems is Tufin Orchestration Suite solving and how is that benefiting you? - Tufin saves hours on implementing the access policies (Secure Change) - keeps my policy tidy and optimised. Mission imposible to do it without Tufin ! - Shows connectivity from A to B (MAP in Secutre Track) and this is huge when you got such big and complex network like ours - Allows me to keep the number of firewall change requests awaiting for implementation close to zero all the time (it wasn't the case when few years back company wasn't using Tufin - business was always complaining and awaiting for changes to be implemented). Tufin Secure Track, is best module for policy orechestration which automates the rules, policy greatly and eases the administrater job. Tufin(NSPM) is a valuable product for the organization especially if it's a large organization and involves daily implementation of multiple ACL requests and managing multiple vendors Firewalls. Even though the new platform Aurora is quite new and would involve lot of efforts to integrate with you environment but still the assist from Tufin Support will not keep you hanging, they are working together with you along all steps to setup and maintain the architecture. There are some genuine downsides if you are big organization and working legacy network devices, alot of differences have to covered for your setup and various separate parameters need to be set using scripts provided by Tufin.
