I liked TruthScan’s AI image and document detection. It helps me find if documents or images are AI-generated or real. It labeled the fake documents I received as fake, and I used that as proof to get my money back legally. The setup was easy, and I’d recommend it 10 out of 10. The software works as advertised under testing conditions, as well as in the limited number of prod scenarios where the TruthScan feature set was applicable.

The pricing. I understand that profitability is necessary but this ultimately caused me not to continue after the trial. Their monthly subscription provides more tokens than we would ever use by a significant amount. If there were a lower tier model then this would be an easier sell. I really appreciate how accurate TruthScan is at detecting even small AI modifications in images, not just fully generated ones. The heat map feature is extremely valuable for human review, and the company’s responsiveness to feature requests has been a pleasant surprise. Honestly, there isn’t much to complain about. If I had to mention something, it would be that I haven’t used the web dashboard much since my workflow is API-based, but when features were missing, they were implemented quickly after I requested them.
