In close cooperation with all known manufacturers, MEPcontent offers files of the most commonly used products for Revit and CAD: RFA, RVT, DWG and IFC as well as Manufacturer Apps for Revit and AutoCAD. MEPcontent manufacturer also fuels leading modelling softwares Stabicad and Trimble Nova. I started my CAD journey using native Revit duct/piping and added in Trimble Sysque. I found that using these took a lot of control away from me in selecting what type of fitting or ductwork to use because it processed ductwork for you. For basic jobs without a lot of offsetting and complexity, this is fine. But once I got into complex systems, I was finding myself looking for ways to work around the automated part of Revit for duct and piping. I started using fabrication services through Revit, but it was missing a lot of fittings. Trimble MEPcontent filled that gap for me with a database of fittings, ductwork, piping, plumbing, etc., that I can add to my fabrication service in Revit. With Trimble MEPcontent, I have been able to control the type of fittings to use in my models, and it has sped up my workflow since I have more variety. I use Trimble MEPcontent daily, and it would be hard for me to switch from this. **What do you dislike about Trimble MEPcontent?** I wish Trimble MEPcontent would incorporate better into Revit, whether that is through having an interface or a standalone program. When you add fittings, you have to do it through AutoCAD Fabrication, and it is not intuitive for people who have not worked with AutoCAD much. **What problems is Trimble MEPcontent solving and how is that benefiting you?** It fills the gap for fittings that I don't have time to make myself in AutoCAD to use in Revit. ### 2. The managed ITM (Intelligent Transportation Management) comprises of useful aspects such as the labor cost and fabrication details to ease estimation and construction. **What do you dislike about Trimble MEPcontent?** Most of the time, the search for specific objects becomes a frustrating endeavor to accomplish. Some of the Search options appear to be basic and performing keyword searches don’t return the most related results. **What problems is Trimble MEPcontent solving and how is that benefiting you?** Trimble MEPcontent saves time to have MEP system components created by hand and included into the BIM models. Such approach by using the manufacturer specific content decreases interference and also risks of making mistakes. ### 3. Mainly you can fine the authentic familes used for revit and there manufacturing manual with it with all connection details. ### 4. Additionally, some objects are free to try in BIM projects for architects, engineers, and contractors. **What do you dislike about Trimble MEPcontent?** All about Trimble MEPcontent is positive, there is no point in saying there is any problem or point of dislike. It is the best in its own way... I am very satisfied with this. **What problems is Trimble MEPcontent solving and how is that benefiting you?** It gives me real-time value of the product that I want to use in my projects. Not only this, it provides exact usage and dimensions to design my model and helps me find alternatives for some objects as well. ### 5. All files that I have found are created in an older version of a program and then get upgraded once you download. **What do you dislike about Trimble MEPcontent?** Apart from there being a lot of files as a good thing, it is also confusing depending on the category you are looking for. More than once I have had to scroll through several pages to find something that I needed to use. Luckily you can mark it as a favorite later, but the initial looking is time-consuming. **What problems is Trimble MEPcontent solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were needing some advanced and detailed BIM models for electrical and there were plenty of options to help us expand our database. Not every file is useful, but there were plenty to get us on the right path. ### 6. So can result into clashes. **What problems is Trimble MEPcontent solving and how is that benefiting you?** Trimble MEP content provides the largest platform to BIM designers to get MEP trade objects for the modeling and make work more productive.
