We've had many ransomware infections while using trend micro and have since switched to a product with better hit detection rate. The Endpoint Encryption management snap-in is simple and straight forward to use. For larger institutions interested in using multiple Trend products to manage many sites, the control manager dashboard is also useful. **What do you dislike about Trend Micro Smart Protection?** Support is difficult and often takes a few days to get an answer to your issue. Wading through the sheer amount of documents on Trend's sites is very time consuming. Often times documents have not been updated and do not provide a clear solution. Many of the new features such as Web Reputation are still not developed enough to use effectively in a large complex enterprise environment. And of all the options we looked into, Trend came in with the best price per seat which given all the features and options was quite surprising. **What do you dislike about Trend Micro Smart Protection?** On our older machines, there is still a performance hit when running scans on machines. There was one real0time feature we had to turn off completely as it was affecting several of our machines all the time. Granted we still have some machines that are a bit too old, we have seen other programs perform better while still doing a great job of protecting system resources. **Recommendations to others considering Trend Micro Smart Protection:** Trend is not shy when it comes to system resources. But don't let that get you down.
