What I like most is how easy it makes API testing. I no longer have to switch between multiple tabs; I can run simple API tests directly in Visual Studio Code, which keeps my development workflow smoother and more efficient.
It is integrated with Vs code which reduces my efforts.
The setup is straightforward, and features like headers, authentication, query parameters, and the request body are clearly organized and easy to manage. Creating and testing APIs also feels more approachable, even for someone who’s just getting started with backend development. Thunder client is a fast and convenient API testing tool, but there are a few areas where it could improve. It’s good enough for completing simple tasks, but for larger API testing work—like handling complex automation and advanced scripting—it starts to feel limited. I started my journey with Thunder client last year, but when I moved into automation, I had to switch to another tool because of those limitations. I think it could improve a lot in this area.
