"The most useful development environment"
3.5/5
What do you like best about The Jupyter Notebook?

A nice application that allows you to use markdown and python code at the same time. Creating documentation dynamically is very easy. It is very practical especially for those who are starting to learn Python. I thought it was only used for python but it has support for a lot of languages. Very useful notebook application especially for reporting and presentation. Suitable for data science, machine learning, and deep learning studies. The interface is simple and beautiful. It's like writing code in Word. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about The Jupyter Notebook?

Due to not remembering the operations performed, it's very frustrating to have to run the kernel again every time I reconnect. It's hard to stop the kernel. When there is a problem with the browser, the code disappears without saving. Images do not open or load slowly during image processing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about The Jupyter Notebook?

At the moment, there is limited integration of Jupiter notebooks with other tools, unless the integration is written from within the python code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about The Jupyter Notebook?

Jupyter Notebook is great to showcase the work where you can see the code as well as the result. Run option cell by cell makes its convenient. Good for visualization. Can be used at any time without any issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Ease of working on Python with Jupyter notebook"
5/5
What do you like best about The Jupyter Notebook?

Ease of retrieving the desired results with just specifying the variable name. No print statement is required every time as it is required in PyCharm or other Python terminals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about The Jupyter Notebook?

When the Notebook is open for long, the output results can get disturbed in between which changes final results. So you have to restart the notebook again in that case. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Jupyter Notebook for all analysis/machine learning needs"
4.5/5
What do you like best about The Jupyter Notebook?

Jupyter notebooks are very easy to use with minimal setup. It keeps all code, graphs, comments (it supports Markdown cells which make for amazing in-line commentary), models in a single document that I can share with colleagues/commit to Github. It's particularly good for displaying graphs and visuals interactively. For Data Science/Analytics, this tool allows for seeing code incrementally in-line, which helps when doing exploratory analyses. Also, it supports multi-language programming and can be converted to a variety of file formats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about The Jupyter Notebook?

There is no linting and correction, and you can't integrate it with an existing IDE. Also, I wish it allows for easier collaboration. Bottom line, this is an excellent tool for data exploration but not the best option as a programming asset in production pipelines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best tool for Python POCs and saving notes."
5/5
What do you like best about The Jupyter Notebook?

The ability to add Notes as comments and as markdown makes Jupyter Notebook stand out. Another thing I like is we can run commands line by line, so basically, we don't need to run the whole code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about The Jupyter Notebook?

There should be a way to compare changes on Git. When you save a Notebook on Git, I didn't find a way to compare the changes. It just updates it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

A straightforward and easy to use interface Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about The Jupyter Notebook?

Lack of click-use/drag-drop commands for basic codes. Almost every control executed as a code (I mean updating packages and even basic snippets) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
