3.5/5
What do you like best about Testlify?

What I like best about Testlify is the overall support provided by their team. Whenever we faced questions or needed assistance, the team was responsive, helpful, and supportive throughout the process. Their cooperation made the overall experience smooth and reliable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The main concern with Testlify is the occasional bugs and technical errors during assessments. "Testlify Streamlined Our Screening and Early Skills Assessments"
5/5
What do you like best about Testlify?

In our case as a recruiting team in mental health care, we were trying to make our screening process more consistent across different roles, and Testlify has helped a lot with that.

We now use it to send assessments early in the hiring process, which allows us to evaluate candidates on actual skills before moving to interviews. It’s made things more structured and easier for both recruiters and hiring managers to align on decisions.

It also integrates well with Lever, which we’re already using as our ATS, so moving candidates into assessments doesn’t require extra manual steps. Overall, it’s been fairly easy to manage and navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Testlify?

One area that could be improved is the reporting side. The summaries are helpful, but for larger hiring needs, having more detailed insights or deeper analytics would make it easier to compare candidates at a more granular level. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Testlify Support of Testlify

We're thrilled to hear that Testlify has helped streamline your screening process and make it more consistent across different roles. Integrating well with Lever and providing a structured approach for evaluating candidates are some of the key benefits we aim to offer.

"Intuitive, Fast, and Interactive Assessment Tool"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Testlify?

I used Testlify to give an assessment for a digital marketing executive, and it was pretty cool. The process was super smooth and easy. I didn't feel as intimidated as I would in a normal interview, which works really well for me. I was really surprised by how the AI was actually interactive and didn't sound robotic. It helped me interview faster. I think it's really intuitive, very smooth, and really fast. It was a lot of fun speaking to the AI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Testlify?

I think the transcripts could be improved, like in terms of what I'm seeing versus what it's understanding. It's not far from accurate, but it could be better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Testlify Streamlines Hiring with Easy Assessments and Clear Results"
5/5
What do you like best about Testlify?

As Head of People Operations in a growing software team, we needed a more structured way to handle hiring across different roles, and Testlify has been useful in that regard.

We use it regularly to send out assessments as part of the early screening process, and it helps standardize how candidates are evaluated before interviews. The platform is fairly easy to use, and the variety of available tests makes it easier to match assessments to different roles across the organization.

Another thing that’s been helpful is how results are presented it gives a clear overview while still allowing us to dig into specific areas when needed, which supports better decision-making during shortlisting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Testlify?

One limitation we’ve come across is around customization. For certain roles, it would be useful to make more flexible edits to existing assessments instead of having to recreate them from scratch.

Also, while support is generally responsive, there have been a few instances where follow-ups took longer than expected. It’s not a major issue, but improving consistency there would make the experience smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We also appreciate your constructive input regarding assessment customization and support follow-up consistency. Your comments have been shared with our product and support teams for continued improvement.

"Straightforward Setup and Fast, Clear Candidate Screening with Testlify"
5/5
What do you like best about Testlify?

One thing that stood out pretty quickly with Testlify is how straightforward it is to get assessments up and running. As a COO in a small e-learning team, we don’t have a dedicated hiring department, so having something that doesn’t require a lot of setup has been important for us.

We usually send assessments right after candidates apply, and it helps us get a clearer sense of their skills before moving into interviews. The results are easy to review, and the structure makes it simpler to compare candidates without overcomplicating things. It’s saved us a fair amount of time, especially during early stage screening. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Testlify?

I wouldn’t say there are major issues, but there are times when the instructions or test flow could be a bit clearer, especially for candidates who aren’t used to online assessments.

It’s not something that happens often, but improving that part could make the experience smoother overall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Testlify Support of Testlify

Thank you for your thoughtful and detailed feedback. We're glad to hear that Testlify has helped your small e-learning team streamline early-stage screening and make the hiring process more structured and efficient.

We also appreciate your input regarding test instructions and flow clarity for candidates. Your comments have been shared with our team for continued improvement.

"Testlify Speeds Up Developer Screening with Strong Technical Assessments"
5/5
What do you like best about Testlify?

What stood out to me early on with Testlify is the range of assessments available, especially for technical roles. As an Engineering Manager, we’ve been using it to screen developers before interviews, and it’s made a noticeable difference in how quickly we can identify strong candidates.

Instead of spending time manually reviewing every applicant, we send out assessments as part of the initial stage, and the automated scoring helps us focus only on candidates who meet the required skill level. The interface is also fairly easy to navigate, so setting up and managing tests hasn’t been an issue for our team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Testlify?

One area that could be improved is the pricing structure it can feel a bit restrictive depending on how frequently you’re hiring, especially when you’re scaling a team.

Also, while the platform works well most of the time, there have been a few instances where candidates experienced minor technical issues during assessments. It’s not frequent, but having more flexibility or recovery options in those cases would be helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Testlify Support of Testlify

Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed and thoughtful review. As an Engineering Manager, your perspective on technical screening is incredibly valuable to us.

We're delighted to hear that Testlify has helped your team identify strong candidates more quickly, reduced manual effort from senior engineers, and made the initial screening process more scalable and consistent.

We also appreciate your constructive feedback regarding the pricing structure and occasional technical issues candidates have faced. Your comments about needing more flexibility and recovery options have been noted and shared with our product team for ongoing improvement.

Thank you again for partnering with Testlify.

"Responsive, Proactive Support and Flexible Assessments in Testlify"
5/5
What do you like best about Testlify?

The biggest pro for us is that Testlify has a very responsive and proactive support team. If you have a question or feature request, I’ve always appreciated how they take the time to understand your use case and improve the product as soon as possible (e.g. they recently added additional customisation options for the shareable report view).

Testlify also has several question types & customisation options. So we’re able to create assessments from scratch for both technical and non-technical roles in one single place (instead of having coding questions on a separate platform, for example). The proctoring features are pretty thorough and flexible too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Testlify?

While the interface is pretty intuitive overall, it can take a little time to get familiar with advanced features.

Right now, there's nothing really to dislike in Testlify. We've had a positive experience so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy-to-Set-Up Assessments with Time-Saving Auto-Scoring"
5/5
What do you like best about Testlify?

What I like most is how easy it is to set up assessments and send them to candidates without much back and forth. In our case, we use Testlify early in the hiring process to evaluate both teaching and administrative roles, and it really helps standardize how we assess applicants.

The range of available tests is also useful we’ve been able to cover both technical and soft skills depending on the role. Once candidates complete the assessments, the automatic scoring makes it easier to quickly identify who should move forward, which saves a lot of time for our team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Testlify?

One thing I’ve noticed is that some of the tests can feel a bit general depending on the position, so it sometimes takes extra effort to find the best fit or adjust the assessment accordingly.

Also, while the platform is quite straightforward overall, having a bit more guidance or preview options for certain tests could make the setup process even smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Testlify Support of Testlify

Thank you for your thoughtful and detailed feedback. We're delighted to hear that Testlify has helped standardize your hiring process, save time with auto-scoring, and improve the quality of candidates you move forward with.

We also appreciate your constructive input regarding test specificity and the need for better guidance or preview options. Your comments have been shared with our product team for continued improvement.

"Efficient Candidate Validation with Minor Lag Issues"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Testlify?

I find Testlify to be a very helpful platform for validating real candidates through online assessments. I love its features like the 'no cheating' and 'timer reminder' features. The 'no cheating' feature blocks any violations during the test, records surrounding sounds, blocks navigation to other screens, and captures snapshots, making it comprehensive for ensuring candidates are not cheating. The timer reminder is helpful for candidates to avoid spending extra time on any single question. Additionally, the basic setup makes it easy for anyone to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Testlify?

I just find the lag issue a bit frustrating. Sometimes it happens during the assessment, and when I click on the next button, it takes time to load the next question. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Smooth, Reliable Testing Experience for Hiring with Testlify"
5/5
What do you like best about Testlify?

The UI and the way it handles tests are very important for a candidate to demonstrate their skills to recruiters, and Testlify stands out here with a smooth experience. I’ve never faced server issues or unexpected errors, which is why I consider it one of the best tools to use for interviews and tests, especially during the hiring process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Testlify?

There is no such thing as me being disappointed with Testlify. It’s a great website for hosting tests and interviews, with good integrations and different types of tests—whether it’s assessments, situational reviews, or reasoning. Overall, it really stands out.
