The best part is that it can store complete product information, and it’s easy to use with NX integration.

Sometimes it feels complicated to search for parts in TC because there are so many filters, and they confuse me a lot of the time.

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Teamcenter centralizes product data and manages revisions so everyone can work from the latest approved files while still maintaining full traceability. This supports smoother collaboration, helps prevent errors caused by outdated information, and improves overall engineering productivity.

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

I find it easy to keep all design data and legacy data in Teamcenter, as well as maintain all revisions and make it centralized. The current integration with AI is top-notch, which I hope continues to work well. It also helps us maintain our own data and standard parts and manage ECN and ECR changes effectively.

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

I think there is a need to improve the customized options in Teamcenter. It could be more easy to customize, similar to NX Open. Also, I found the initial transformation to be a bit complex, although we managed.

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Teamcenter to centralize all design and legacy data, maintain revisions, and manage ECN/ECR changes efficiently, thanks to its AI integration.

For me, the biggest draw of Teamcenter is how it bridges the gap between engineering design and actual asset management. It goes way beyond basic file storage to handle the heavy lifting of complex BOMs, which is exactly the foundation you need to make industrial digital twins actually work in the real world. It simply breaks down the walls between product creation and downstream operations.

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

Getting it to integrate smoothly with systems outside the Siemens ecosystem—like a legacy EAM—often requires heavy lifting and customization rather than simple plug-and-play.

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the issue of fragmented data by creating a single, reliable digital thread from initial design down to operations. It handles complex BOM management and configuration tracking effortlessly, which gives us the exact foundation needed to build functional digital twins. The main benefit is breaking down silos between engineering and downstream systems, allowing for much smoother enterprise collaboration.

I like the BMIDE and SBL customization features in Teamcenter, as they help address workflow and data model needs for business applications.

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

I find the integration with CAD and SAP in Teamcenter to be problematic. The initial setup was a bit complex as well, but we managed to get through it.

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Teamcenter for BMIDE, customization handler, and extensions on top of the OOTB application. It helps with workflow and data model adaptation for business needs.

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

I use Teamcenter with NX daily, and the check in/check out process and revision tracking have been reliable. The BOM view is easy to follow and I no longer lose track of assemblies. It helps us centralize our workflow and stay better connected across different areas of the organization.

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

It also provides advamced data analytics that feel unmatched in the market and they’re especially helpful for data mapping and conversion across Siemens software as well.

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Teamceneter has helped us prevent duplicate files and avoid incorrect versions during desgin. Now everyone is working from the same up to date, which has made collaboration much smoother. We’ve seen the same benefit with Tecnomatix Process and NX as well, with more consistent version control across the tools.

I use Teamcenter for engineering integration and appreciate how it offers visibility across the lifecycle. It's great for accessing information quickly and easily. I like that it connects everything together and find the planning and scheduling features good. They help me manage the resources in my team effectively and allow me to easily see what deliverables are needed to progress through the workflow.

It is sometimes difficult to navigate through the system with the search tool. When using large data sets, the search results contain lots of different objects, making it difficult to find what I am looking for.

I find Teamcenter's visualization mock-up to be excellent for identifying issues virtually. I appreciate how it integrates with PLM and BOM. The Vismockup is particularly valuable for generating results and making a digital car, as it makes the data more reliable with proper data configuration. Additionally, I like that Teamcenter is user-friendly and easy to adapt to quickly, which has been beneficial for me and my team.

I wish the part comparison from version changes was better. Also, an automatic part update feature would be helpful.

Teamcenter visualization identifies issues virtually, solving simulation and kinematics problems. I like its integration with PLM and BOM. Vismockup generates reliable digital cars with proper data configuration.

I like Teamcenter's strong product lifecycle management (PLM) capabilities and how it acts as a single digital source for all product data. I also appreciate its seamless integration across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams, which helps connect people, processes, and data across the entire product creation journey. The initial setup was easy, and I find it valuable that Teamcenter works with many software tools.

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

I find Teamcenter's user interface complex, which makes it feel heavy and outdated, requiring a steep learning curve. The system performance is slow, especially on large CAD assemblies, causing long load times and issues with remote users due to network lag. Upgrading is difficult and costly, as it breaks custom code and the process can take months. Administration is complicated, with user rules and workflows needing expert skills, and simple changes taking too long. The web client, Active Workspace, lacks features compared to the desktop client. Improvements could be better speed for data loading, simpler customization that doesn't break with upgrades, a cleaner interface for new users, and a smoother and more cost-effective cloud setup.

-Easy to search and manage CAD files, especially SolidWorks files, which saves a ton of time.
-The check-in/check-out system keeps track of who’s working on what, avoiding conflicts.
-Product overview and author tracking is clear, and ownership transfer is very helpful.
-Integration with other details is easier, especially adding SAP Number, material data and article number.
-Feature-rich, covering everything from design data management to product lifecycle tracking.

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

Teamcenter is a really robust PLM software. I feel the best thing about it is the connectivity. Since it talks to other applications like NX, SAP  the data is always synchronised and it is real time which saves a lot of time for me. And the user interface is pretty intuitive as well.

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

I feel the rich client has too many clicks. But yes, it is justified because I can't think of a way the clicks can be reduced. And the loading of the app after starting the machine sometimes takes a long time.

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem TC is solving is the connection with other apps. A standalone plm maybe wouldn't talk to other apps. But TC talks to the NX, SAP and many downstream softwares which really saves time and keeps data up to date. I save a lot of time because of this.

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

I appreciate that Teamcenter helps us turn project experiences into structured, reusable learning stories. It captures lessons from the field as structured learning stories without needing CAD software, and is great for drawing and 3D model projects. I like how it organizes our CAD library and the well-informed customer support is a huge plus. The BOM Manager is a great feature to monitor Product tree logic. It helps us keep, analyze, and categorize the CAD in 3D, which overall increases work efficiency.

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

There is a steep learning curve for Teamcenter. It took me 3 months to fully feel satisfied to use it freely. Provide more learning materials and guidance. Tutorial videos and manuals.

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Teamcenter to capture lessons from projects as structured learning stories without CAD software. It helps organize, analyze, and categorize drawings and 3D projects, boosting work efficiency.

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

I use Teamcenter regularly for my customers, especially the EC plan modules in manufacturing engineering. I love how it helps with PLM foundations by putting the digital thread in place. Over the years, Teamcenter has evolved to have a much more cross-industry span, which makes it more available to our customers. Additionally, the initial setup is easy.

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

The integrations definitely need to be detailed a lot more. There's room for improvement in defining the T4S and CN4T. Integrations out of the box need to talk a lot better together. The integrations with S4 using T4S or T4ST need tighter definition around the boundaries and the customizations need to be well defined and reduced.

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Teamcenter helps me establish PLM foundations and integrates the digital thread in our processes. It supports important integrations with tools like SAP, enhancing our manufacturing engineering tasks.

Teamcenter gives a clear view of product information and its associated engineering activities. As an integrated platform it has the potential to really increase business efficiency and value through the development and manufacturing phases.

Unfortunately what lets the tool down is the expertise available to deploy the tool and support it from the OEM ( Siemens ) and from the supposed Gold Partners. -- I am yet to encounter any technical proficiency in the European domain without significant input from the customer!

Over time the platform will assist in reducing the amount of technical debt that as an organisation we have.

It will also assist in the simplification of the engineering and manufacturing stages so that we can reduce time to market overall, improve procurements and remove regulatory challenges

I use Teamcenter to develop new products, handle revisions, and share specifications. It's easy to find information that's already there if everything is clearly defined. I like that all the data is in one place with the information associated, making it easy for me to find specifications, assemblies, and usages. We can review designs with the manufacturing team, quality, and production, which makes for faster implementation.

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

The connection sometimes is slow, and the tasks sometimes are stuck, requiring us to invest some time to address the issue. The first weeks were very hard because some features were not set up according to our needs.

The interface is intuitive. The fact that the controls for any object or action in Teamcenter are common means it is easier to learn the new Teamcenter capabilities that are being introduced in my company. 
We are currently going on the Digital Engineering journey and are using a number of Siemens products. The Siemens support team are all very knowledgeable, friendly and willing to help in any aspect of the toolset set-up, test or deployment. I find I learn alot about the toolset from the Siemens team every time we meet.

Using the newer features at the front end of the production lifecycle for systems engineering there are quite a few limitations that need capability updates adding into the software. Also the different Siemens toolsets are not always fully integrated and again there is a journey to go on to enable a satisfactory solution to get the full digital thread enabled

I like the search functionality in Active Workspace. Going from RAC to AW, it's nice to see better search functionality in general. I also like the SLM capabilities, and I'm excited to see it implemented for our Teamcenter instance. I think we will be able to utilize it in getting more proactive following up our customers' spare part and maintenance needs.

There might be some small improvements that can be made. The search functionality when viewing a BOM is not that great. I can't recollect exactly what the issue is, but it is not as good/flexible as the global search. I can't recollect exactly what's not working properly.

I am in service provider company and we are supporting lot of defense companies for them teamcenter managing all there process.

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

I like Teamcenter's flexibility to adapt to business needs through customizations and building solution accelerators. I appreciate how it allows us to build our own customizations using the out-of-the-box business objects as building blocks for creating required business outputs. The initial setup was pretty easy with the help of the deployment center. Teamcenter can handle almost everything, and its capability to talk to various CAD, CAE, ECAD, and ERP software is impressive. I also rate it a 10 for any enterprise implementation due to its robust operations.

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

A good UI is what we can expect for Active Workspace

Teamcenter solves problems by building the bill of materials, managing workflows, and communicating with CAD, CAE, ECAD, and ERP software.

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

I find that the AWC is easier to use compared to RAC. The CAD integration works well and is particularly helpful, providing seamless ties with CAD attributes and allows execution within Teamcenter. I also appreciate the custom tile creation which simplifies the UI and offers a new look. The workflows are really helpful for managing processes effectively.

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

Installation and upgrades are not easy. Why am upgrade 2-3 version out, take weeks and difficult to do? Just Teamcenter upgrade takes long time and needs expertise. Using deployment center it is easier, but still needs experts to do it setting up SSO, dispatcher are hard. Tc upgrade is hard.

Teamcenter helps with data management, security, workflow, and finding data.
