Short learning curve if you have new preparers. Well priced. I have been using them for a long time and they now have all the entity forms and states I need. Support varies (time wise) but they are good at resolving issues once you get to the right person. They fixed the note section too and that was great move! I love the carry over of details from the return, helps get us up and running ASAP. Also like you can save back up files to your own server if you want vs having to save it to their cloud. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about TaxAct Business? The log in is very time consuming and during tax season, this is a time eater. Sometimes it remembers log in, sometimes it sends you a code other times you have to click the squares with the specific pictures which are not always clear. Its the only major DIY tax software provider to offer a federal Form 990 online product- it helped our organization file the required 990 informational tax forms with ease. The online product made it extremely convenient to meet deadlines. Not to mention the price was very affordable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about TaxAct Business? they’ve raised their rates, including creating a new “basic” paid tier for people with the very common situation of having dependents, without appreciably changing what they offer Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Its interface is nice to work with, and additionally, you have the ability to compare their return this year to their return last year. Tax Act is relatively less expensive. The interface is simple and navigation is relatively easy. Tax Act allows you to import a previous year’s return, which saves some time as individual do not have to enter all your personal information. What do you dislike about TaxAct Business? The lack of a W-2 import is disappointing. Being able to upload your income information saves time and prevents errors from manual entry.
