Every statistical functionality is available and a vibrant set of functionalities for machine learning and big data analytics are available as well. Also, the integration with R and Python is really good and you can use a drag-and-drop visual composer to create and run your analysis pipeline. In this pipeline you can mix any of the hundreds of Statistica built-in functionalities to R and Python, heving these technologies work together. Statistica is extremely easy to use and is part of a larger ecosystem that allows you to bring your analysis in real-time, also on big data. Plenty of data connectors are available as well as direct access to machine learning libraries, such as Spark MLib and H2O. **What do you dislike about Spotfire Statistica?** The default aesthetics is not modern as it should be, but you can customise it and take it to a modern feeling. **What problems is Spotfire Statistica solving and how is that benefiting you?** Industrial statistics, from quality to reliability, covering every aspect such as ANOVA, regression., modelling and design of experiments. Intuative platform, even some of my peers still in university could navigate it with ease **What do you dislike about Spotfire Statistica?** Nothing particularly, to be frank, it felt pretty indistinguishable from what I've used previously while in my university internships **Recommendations to others considering Spotfire Statistica:** make sure you have SOME experience with data analytic software prior to jumping headfirst into proposing this to your company. This was a huge waste of money for 2 of the user on my team as they were still learning the basics of excel when they got thrown into this **What problems is Spotfire Statistica solving and how is that benefiting you?** Problem: we had been noticing a lot of our inventory wasn't holding up for as long as projected and throug ha serise of happy event lead by my data loggs we discoved a particular worker had been sneaking into the storage room to snack on supplies from each box in hopes of not having anyone notice Benefits: Solved that issue and saved money on a pest control appointment, turns out it was a hungry, now unemployed, waitress and not rats ### 5. It requires zero knowledge of SQL and, therefore, tremendously improves the usability and adoption of the tool across the entire company. **What do you dislike about Spotfire Statistica?** The onboarding experience for a new user could be better. While the self-served analytics features are great, it takes a while for a new user to get accustomed to the interface. A better walkthrough tutorial would be helpful. **Recommendations to others considering Spotfire Statistica:** Tibco is excellent for a self-served analytics requirement. If the business team in your organisation has a heavy and frequent requirement for analytics and you do not wish to rely on a dedicated business insights team or analytics team, then Tibco is a great option for you. The learning curve is straightforward and most features are accessible without any knowledge of SQL. **What problems is Spotfire Statistica solving and how is that benefiting you?** Tibco allows us to track KPIs and success metrics for our products and businesses. One of the most important dependencies it eliminates is the need for engineering bandwidth whenever the business team requires any analytics. This helps us free up loads of engineering bandwidth and prioritise core engineering improvements rather than waste effort on report generation and dashboard updation. ### 6. It is a client tool that you must install. No web SaaS version in the roadmap, as far as I know. Also, no open-source version, which other ETL tools do have. **What problems is Spotfire Statistica solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have used this tool in the past as an alternative to other ETL solutions available in the market. It's mainly to perform data transformations, although it's not the best performant nor the most adequately documented. It supports several network data transport options, including TCP, TIBCO Rendezvous, and TIBCO SmartPGM. ActiveSpaces also provides an API that can be used to develop custom applications which use the features of ActiveSpaces.
