"Stack Estimation Review"
4/5
What do you like best about STACK Takeoff & Estimate?

Stack has helped us streamline our estimating process. We are a small HVAC/Plumbing business and using stack has made our estimation process smoother. We used to do everything long hand and enter it into excel manually. The ability to take everything off digitally and manipulate the takeoff either within stack or exported to an excel document has made the takeoff process much easier. What used to take me all day to do is now easily able to be done in a few hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about STACK Takeoff & Estimate?

Stack is a estimation program built to cover many different trades. As such, we have to build in all of our assemblies manually. Stack is there to support on this and help along the way. However it would be nice if they had prebuilt assemblies that could be implemented easily. Also all the products have to be entered manually in your item's so prices have to be entered manually as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about STACK Takeoff & Estimate?

Stack s easy to use out of the box (cloud)! Being cloud based we can access our projects from anywhere. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about STACK Takeoff & Estimate?

In the estimate function, we would prefer labor to be calculated based on time rather than cost. For example, installing one widget should be set to take one hour, and then an hourly rate can be applied to that task. This approach would also make it easier to account for off-hours work and adjust for labor increases on longer projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about STACK Takeoff & Estimate?

I really like that Stack is web-based and not on a dedicated application. This enables me to do takeoffs and manage my projects from anywhere in the world. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about STACK Takeoff & Estimate?

There are times where the connection to the server seem to just drop. This is usually corrected with a refresh of the page after 3-4 minutes of downtime. Small, but still in an issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about STACK Takeoff & Estimate?

Fast, easy, and convenient to use without any hassle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about STACK Takeoff & Estimate?

Stack is generally a helpful tool, but for landscaping, it has a few limitations. Creating takeoffs for organic or curved shapes like planting beds or irregular paver layouts can be time-consuming and less accurate compared to CAD-based tools. Also, the lack of built-in landscaping assemblies like soil layering, root barrier systems, or planting specs means we often have to build them from scratch, which slows us down. Integration with live material pricing or landscape-specific catalogs would really enhance the estimating process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
