## About SQL Diagnostic Manager
IDERA SQL Diagnostic Manager (SQL DM) is a leading SQL Server performance monitoring, diagnostics, and optimization platform for database administrators managing on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. Now in version 14, SQL Diagnostic Manager delivers enterprise-grade visibility into SQL Server health, availability, query performance, and resource utilization — with built-in AI-powered query and workload index optimization introduced in the latest release. SQL Diagnostic Manager monitors every critical layer of the SQL Server stack — from query execution plans, wait statistics, blocking chains, deadlocks, and TempDB pressure to OS resources, virtualization, storage, and cloud-level cost metrics. Its agentless, low-overhead architecture collects full diagnostic data without impacting production performance. With AI built directly into Query Monitor, DBAs can turn slow or expensive queries into actionable index recommendations in minutes — for a single query or an entire competing workload. The AI is DBA-controlled: all recommendations require explicit review and approval before any change is applied. No table data is ever sent to AI services. SQL Diagnostic Manager supports SQL Server on-premises, Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Amazon RDS for SQL Server, and Google Cloud SQL. Its customer-owned data repository enables multi-year forensic analysis with no ingest fees and predictable per-instance pricing. Trusted by 50,000+ database professionals, SQL Diagnostic Manager is used at enterprises including Franciscan Health, the University of Notre Dame, and the National Organization for Research. Key capabilities: real-time monitoring and alerting, AI-powered query and workload optimization, prescriptive tuning recommendations, deadlock and blocking chain analysis, TempDB and I/O diagnostics, replication monitoring, Query Store integration, adaptive baseline alerting, cost observability for cloud environments, customizable dashboards and reports, and a 14-day free trial with no credit card required.
