It seems to take them several days to respond, and sometimes their chat feature doesn't seem to be functioning properly. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like they're willing to offer refunds even if they're unable to resolve the issue. **What problems is Spreaker solving and how is that benefiting you?** The podcasting problem was never solved, and I canceled my account. They say I can use my account for 30 days. Try to log in; my account was deleted. ### 3. It has the most intuitive platform I have ever seen. You can integrate it with Zoom or Skype to spring in outside guests or callers. It has its online mixer console so no outside hardware is needed. **What do you dislike about Spreaker?** There should be a built-in connection that allows multiple hosts to connect to the same mixer at the same time. In today's world, everyone is remote and any live podcast with multiple hosts is very difficult to conduct with just one person at controls. **What problems is Spreaker solving and how is that benefiting you?** The Spreaker allows us to communicate with our prospective members via a live internet radio program. They claim it was due to copywriting - I paid a fee every year, and they were monetizing my episodes with commercials I did not make any profit. I assumed they were paying the license since there was never a complaint for 10 years. There are 100s of DJs that have radio shows playing commercial music from all over the world - I'm sure they're not paying licensing for thousands of dollars. I asked if I could have a copy of my content they denied to give the conntent. - Terrible business!!! They did not give me a chance to downgrade my podcast only to a higher cost to force me out!!! I love music, and I was sharing my radio show with friends and family - they claim now that they are not a music Server - and their partner is IheartRadio They didn't ask me if I had a license to play commercial music - they just deleted me only because I was not producing enough for them to profit VERY BAD BUSINESS - DO SIGN UP WITH THESE PEOPLE. I loved the ease of distribution and social sharing all done right through the web browser. **What do you dislike about Spreaker?** It has a major flaw if you plan on long-term creation of a podcast. Once you reach a total storage amount you begin to pay a higher rate. So great for a small number of episodes or smaller-sized episodes but if you plan on podcasting for years the costs can get pretty high. It also costs more to do multiple podcast shows, while Castos offers unlimited shows and unlimited storage only pay more if people download a lot more. **Recommendations to others considering Spreaker:** Just be sure that you can afford an increase in price over time or that you plan on only having a limited amount of episodes. **What problems is Spreaker solving and how is that benefiting you?** Spreaker makes it seamless to get your podcast into the distribution channels and easy to upload and publish new episodes. I create a daily podcast using it called, "Five by the Fire." It does the trick well with limited issues. ### 6. I've tried several times and customer service was worthless. I finally got it to go through, and I receive a message from support that it did not, yet when I check the site it shows all is well for another year. I did more than 1900 shows. They make podcasting easy. **What do you dislike about Spreaker?** When I decided to leave, they provided me with a feed of 301 shows which is what they give iTunes. I asked for a feed with ALL of my shows so I could bring them to my new host. The excuse given is that they are trying to get their engineers to make the change. It is more than a month. I have been dinged for another charge and support has stopped responding. Advertising revenue on the platform is pennies--It's a big deal to get to $3+cpm. That's chump money for charging you $40 per month for hosting. Yes, Spreaker is different but it is awkward and once you have a lot of shows like I do charges for storage. **Recommendations to others considering Spreaker:** 301 episodes is the magic number **What problems is Spreaker solving and how is that benefiting you?** I want is my work back. 301 shows is all the feed is holding that they delivered to me. Not 1900+ shows. My content is being held hostage and I am being charged for having my content there AND I DON"T WANT IT THERE. ### 14. Perhaps they could increase the ways to sort/filter. **Recommendations to others considering Spreaker:** Whether you want to create your own podcast (at incredibly low prices), listen to interesting shows you might not find elsewhere, or get some exposure for your clients, Spreaker offers it all. **What problems is Spreaker solving and how is that benefiting you?** First, I don't have to spend a great deal of time trying to find podcasts and hunt down contact info. It takes out a lot of the leg work in uploading your show to many platforms by adding it instantly to a selection of popular podcast sites and it also provides some very nice options in embedding your audio into your site or social media. **What do you dislike about Spreaker?** It's pretty simple to use but some of the options are not the most friendly to people who don't have a ton of background with audio platforms and it's features sometimes work less well than you'd like. The upload times can be very long, many of the most helpful features are for more expensive plans, it does a lot of things that you can just do on your own or with similar (but less expensive) apps plus it is challenging to embrace it on a business level. If you have many podcasts under a specific channel or brand it isn't easy to utilize the platform between your separate shows/departments. **Recommendations to others considering Spreaker:** It is a great automated content sharing platform and the options for space and unique description is really wonderful. Few options match everything this provides. **What problems is Spreaker solving and how is that benefiting you?** It has allowed out team to not only have a consistant home base to our podcast uploading but it allows us to share it to many platforms at once. Having our shows instantly added to Spotify, Pod Beam and other major podcast homes in an instant is a big deal to us. As is the ability to live record/upload audio. Plus it helps to keep everything in one place. ### 16. They will bill you a renewal without warning for a year in advance and then flat out will not refund the pre-payment, even if you have moved your podcast a year ago! Highly unfair to charge for services that are not rendered, and to treat customers so badly. Warning - stay away from Spreaker! Spreaker works from any browser and with an Internet connection. It has several languages and a very intuitive control panel that allows us to handle it smoothly and comfortably in just a few minutes without the need for a steep learning curve. Additionally, there is a free version to try it out, although, as I will mention in the negative aspects of Spreaker, we will see that there are certain limitations in the free version. **What do you dislike about Spreaker?** The worst thing about Spreaker is that the free version is somewhat limited in terms of available space or minutes of podcast we can record and distribute. If we want something more professional, we will need to pay for the commercial license for unlimited use. I can upload my files easily. And there's also a desktop app and that makes it easy to work with. You can connect and monetize on Spotify. But, the most convenient is that there is an app for my iPhone. **What do you dislike about Spreaker?** Downgrading to a lower platform is annoying because I have to cancel my subscription then wait until the billing cycle is over and restart the whole process.
