SporeProof Reviews & Product Details

SporeProof is a cloud-based software solution designed to streamline and enhance sterilization compliance for facilities utilizing autoclaves. It offers a comprehensive platform for logging autoclave cycles, tracking spore test results, managing maintenance events, and generating compliance reports, all accessible from any device, even offline. One of the standout features of SporeProof is its intuitive 3-Tap Load Logging system. This allows operators to record autoclave cycles swiftly, with large touch targets suitable for gloved hands. The system remembers previous selections and utilizes cycle presets to auto-fill parameters such as temperature, pressure, and time, minimizing manual input and reducing the likelihood of errors. For spore test tracking, SporeProof accommodates both in-house and mail-in laboratory tests. In-house tests benefit from an incubation countdown, indicating when each biological indicator is ready. For mail-in tests, users can forward lab result emails to a unique facility address, and SporeProof automatically parses the results, matches them to the correct sterilizer, and records them. This process includes attaching the original lab email as documentation, ensuring readiness for inspections. The software also features Indicator Lot Tracking, allowing facilities to save spore-test and chemical-indicator product details, including brand, lot number, and expiration date. This information auto-fills on every test and load entry. If an expired lot is detected, SporeProof blocks new entries until a fresh lot is recorded, preventing the inadvertent use of outdated indicators. Generating inspector-ready reports is simplified with SporeProof. Users can export PDF or CSV reports filtered by date range, encompassing facility information, sterilizer details, and comprehensive records of every load and test result. This functionality ensures that facilities can provide thorough documentation during inspections with minimal effort. In the event of a spore test failure, SporeProof's Failure Protocol automatically quarantines the affected sterilizer, identifies all impacted loads since the last passing test, and documents corrective actions. The dashboard highlights any gaps in the process, and users can configure the number of consecutive passes required before returning the sterilizer to service. To keep facilities informed, SporeProof offers Alerts & Notifications. The dashboard provides warnings when spore tests are approaching or past due, and email notifications are sent for failed spore tests. Additionally, Kiosk Mode prompts operators to include a biological indicator when tests are overdue, ensuring compliance with testing schedules. SporeProof is designed to function seamlessly even without an internet connection. Users can log loads offline, and the data syncs automatically once connectivity is restored, ensuring uninterrupted record-keeping. The Compliance Dashboard offers an at-a-glance view of each sterilizer's status, including the date of the last spore test, overdue warnings, and load counts. This centralized view enables facilities to monitor their compliance posture effectively. For facilities with multiple operators, SporeProof supports a shared sterilization log under one facility account. Operators can select their names from a list without the need for individual sign-ups or per-user fees. Optional PIN locks are available for shared devices to maintain security. Cycle Type Presets allow users to save specific cycle configurations, including temperature, pressure, sterilization time, and dry time. These presets auto-fill during load logging, reducing manual entry and ensuring consistency. Kiosk Mode transforms a tablet into a dedicated logging station near the autoclave. Staff can log a load in approximately 30 seconds by tapping their name, selecting the sterilizer, and recording the result. The system auto-locks after a configurable idle timeout, maintaining security and efficiency. For organizations managing multiple locations, SporeProof's Multi-Facility support enables users to switch between facilities within a single account. Each facility maintains its own operators, sterilizers, presets, and compliance records, ensuring clear separation and organization. The software maintains a Complete Audit Trail, logging every creation, update, and deletion with details on who made the change and when. This field-level audit trail provides transparency and accountability, which is crucial during inspections. Maintenance Tracking within SporeProof allows facilities to log events such as gasket replacements, validation tests, cleanings, repairs, and inspections. Users can track costs, set next-due dates, and receive dashboard warnings when maintenance is overdue, ensuring equipment remains in optimal condition. The Public Compliance Portal feature enables facilities to generate shareable links or QR codes that provide read-only summaries of compliance data. Inspectors or clients can access live sterilizer status, recent test results, and pass rates without needing an account, enhancing transparency and trust. For loads containing implant-grade items, SporeProof's Implant-Grade Tracking automatically requires a biological indicator per CDC guidelines. Items are flagged until a spore test confirms a pass, ensuring adherence to sterilization standards for critical items. SporeProof is tailored for a variety of industries, including piercing studios, dental offices, lash, brow, and skin studios, tattoo studios, veterinary clinics, med spas, dermatology practices, medical estheticians, and surgery centers. Its versatile features and user-friendly design make it a valuable tool for any facility that operates an autoclave and prioritizes sterilization compliance.
