# What's the best deal quality scoring system for optimizing sales team focus and efficiency for your business?

A "deal" doesn't really exist as a term in Value-Based Performance Management Analytics, but a referral relationship or provider partnership worth pursuing is the practical equivalent, and a quality score means something more useful than raw patient volume, since a high-volume referral source that sends poorly-matched, high-cost patients isn't actually a good deal.

Clarify Atlas: The clearest scoring mechanism in the category, reviewers describe it as surfacing provider quality and efficiency scores alongside attributed patient counts, letting a contracting team rank targets by real performance rather than volume alone.

Trella Health: Scores opportunity through competitor profiling and utilization patterns, helping a BD team see not just how many patients a physician sees but how many are already going to a competitor, sharpening where effort actually pays off.

Oracle Enterprise Healthcare Analytics: Scores at a broader outcome-metric level, useful for prioritizing which service lines or contracts deserve attention, though it's less built for scoring individual referral relationships the way Clarify and Trella are.

Efficiency here really means not chasing every lead equally. Between scoring individual physicians (Trella, Clarify) and scoring whole service lines (Oracle), which unit of focus actually matches how your team allocates its time day to day?

The angle nobody's raised yet is the lag baked into any claims-based scoring model. A quality or competitor-profiling score built from utilization and claims data is necessarily backward-looking, since those claims take time to process and aggregate. A BD team using it to prioritize this month's outreach is really acting on a snapshot from a few months back. If a competitor recently made a play for a physician's business, that shift might not show up in the score until well after it would have mattered for timing.
