However, this isn't a problem, and I understand that some changes are coming which will allow for easier grouping of jobs. **What problems is SnapShooter solving and how is that benefiting you?** Customised daily file and database backups across a large number of properties. ### 2. For instance, Digital Ocean provides a means to take snapshots of your server at any time and stores them in your account for use later if needed. Restoring a website or server is very fast. SnapShooter steps in and automates the process of creating these server snapshots based on a schedule you devise. It does so by connecting to your Digital Ocean account and utilizing the native backup service in your account. This eliminates the need for you to manually login to DO and perform the snapshots yourself. That’s a real timesaver and you don’t have to worry about missing a backup. In fact, you don’t have to worry about anything! Once you set up SnapShooter, which is easy to do, you’re all done worrying about whether you can restore your server should problems arise. SnapShooter is very reliable. **What do you dislike about SnapShooter?** I can honestly say their is nothing I don’t like about the SnapShooter service. **Recommendations to others considering SnapShooter:** SnapShooter is a simple, ideal solution that utilizes the native backup mechanism inside your server provider account. Thus it’s fast, secure and reliable. I can’t think of a reason to use any of the other services or website plugins for you backup needs. **What problems is SnapShooter solving and how is that benefiting you?** Worry free backups of my Digital Ocean server. Restores are easy and simple right in my Digital Ocean account. ### 3. Also, they keep adding new features all the time, and it's great to see that more and more database engines are supported! **What do you dislike about SnapShooter?** I haven't come across anything that causes any issues or that I would dislike so far. At first, it was a lack of MongoDB support, but now that has been added! We will be over time moving all our backup tasks to SnapShooter. **What problems is SnapShooter solving and how is that benefiting you?** SnapShooter allows us to get rid of our custom bash scripts that we have been using to perform backups. The custom backup setup was prone to error, difficult to understand for new developers, and needed maintenance. SnapShooter removes the need to spend time and effort on building custom backup solutions, while greatly simplifying and unifying the backup story across all our applications. ### 4. Backup jobs are run on time and any issues are reported directly to my email for investigation. Set up was only 5 mimutes as there is a built in preset, which after filling in a couple of details and adding a SSH key, everything was running and backed up. **What do you dislike about SnapShooter?** No downsides at the moment, everything is running smoothly. **What problems is SnapShooter solving and how is that benefiting you?** Automation of backups, including all application code, MySQL Datasbases and Server Snapshots. ### 5. Daily confirmation emails that the backups have completed successfully. Multiple email addresses for notifications. Great value for money. It just works. **What do you dislike about SnapShooter?** There is nothing I dislike, it just works. **What problems is SnapShooter solving and how is that benefiting you?** We backup our AWS EC2 instances with SnapShooter. We used to use AWS Lifecycle Manager but that just stopped working one day and when we needed to restore after a server failure we we left rebuilding an instance. With SnapShooter we get confirmation every day that the backups are successful. We don't need to worry about retention of backups, SnapShooter handles that for us ### 6. There's a free trial option too. **What problems is SnapShooter solving and how is that benefiting you?** We required a simple but robust backup solution for our Digital Ocean stack, having the ability to perform daily snapshots on a cycle is fantastic. ### 7.
