The way I love about video editing, in general, it gives you a way to express yourself in the way we never done before and Autodesk is just one way of doing that! I have always used Autodesk products like autocad, revit and Maya but smoke is just one of the best you can ever use for video editing and its just free for students thats really why i have it. I like the integration with Autodesk Maya and all the workflow between those two software programs. It is the best for 3D postproduction and visual effects. There are good video editing capabilities found in programs such as Avid Media Composer and a strong compositing package similar to Nuke all rolled into one package.
