Makes installation and remote management a breeze. The notification system helps us know when a power outage occurs at some of our problematic school locations. diagnostics and firmware updates can be done remotely. Reporting can show you when power outages happen. **What do you dislike about Smart UPS?** You can power off individual outlets but you require a premium subscription for this. It would be nice if this would be included at for the first year to demo and reflect costs. Our team does not use this feature due to cost. We have invested in a separate PDU solution to remotely manage power to our network. **What problems is Smart UPS solving and how is that benefiting you?** This product helps with power outage notification issues and ensures our network and security equipment are online and working at all times. ### 3. APC is sub brand by Schneider Electric and they provide very great electronic gadgets for various purposes. The think I liked the most about tha Smart UPS is that, ot has the great ower backup and provides a backup upto an hour. They provide a lightweight and easy to use UPS. One can easily use this. They have various service centres across our country and provide good cutomer care service. **What do you dislike about Smart UPS?** The design of the UPS should be upgraded. They follow thier old model again and again without any modification. It should be more attractive and good looking. Battery backup should be enhanced more. **What problems is Smart UPS solving and how is that benefiting you?** there are issues like sudden outages and breaks during the supply. With batteries, APC and smart UPS are typically the best. Typically last a long time with very little issues. **What do you dislike about Smart UPS?** Set up for bigger units usually requires electrician, which cost more money. Also, I've had firmware issues with various smart UPS units and had to troubleshoot that with support. **What problems is Smart UPS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Smart UPS is protecting our equipment from power surges and power loss. The power conditioning has always been dependable. Over the long run, battery replacements are very cost effective. We've typically gone about 10 years per UPS, with battery swaps every few years, and never had any issues. They would probably run even longer, but we haven't been brave enough to try. **What do you dislike about Smart UPS?** Over time batteries will eventually fail, and balloon. The chassis has a limited amount of space for removing these batteries, so it's sometimes a fight to get the ballooned batteries out of the chassis. **Recommendations to others considering Smart UPS:** We have occasionally tested other products in a similar price range to Smart UPS, and we've never found the level of reliability. For the price, they seem to be the best one out there. The SmartConnect functionality they now offer is great too. Often times we found it cost prohibitive to purchase the management cards. This basic level of alerting is perfect for smaller implementations where you want to know about battery lites without needing to visit the datacenter. **What problems is Smart UPS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our critical sites all have generators, but need UPS backups to bridge the gap between when the power goes out, and when the generator transfer kicks in. We have realized the benefits of this product in that we have achieved adequate runtime to prevent system outages due to power loss. ### 15.
