What do you like best about Lumio?

I love SMART Learning Suite Online (SLSO). SLSO has allowed me to connect and collaborate with students in such a challenging time. While distance learning, it was a challenge to get students to speak/engage. But not with SLSO. The interaction, gamification, and all the features SLSO has to offer and has helped me to interact with students, but also check in where they are. SLSO has built-in everything a teacher needs, games, assessment, and fun while being easy to use! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lumio?

There isn't anything I dislike! SLSO is easy, fun, and reliable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Lumio?

We are a smartboard district. All our schools has smartboards, so Lumio is the best integration for lessons and remote learning that I have seen so far! So easy to integrate with our Google workspace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Lumio lighting the way for student engagement platforms"

What do you like best about Lumio?

I really enjoy that Lumio is constantly evolving as the primary way for Teachers to conduct their presentations. Giving teachers the freedom and engagement features with Individual Handouts & Collaborative Workspaces make for interactive, informative sessions for teachers and students alike. What do you dislike about Lumio?

SMART Technologies has made sure to keep improving Lumio's usability, and that has not gone unnoticed by teachers. In the past year alone, Lumio has undergone its rebrand from SLSO, added more file functionality and improved organization with folders. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Lumio?

The ability to create engaging interactive activities and push them out to class is what sells the product. Another great thing about using the SLSO is that it is very intuitive for the user. If you are familiar with the SMART Learning Suite the SLSO is almost second nature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Lumio by SMART learning suite"
5/5
What do you like best about Lumio?

Lumio by SMART Learning Suite is the most interactive and effective online learning tool I have ever used. I use it for training teachers alongside zoom and in the classroom for synchronous and asynchronous learning. It allows you to make interactive game-based activities in less than 5 minutes and is fantastic for assessment for learning using the SMART response. More recently, Lumio has integrated more learning and educational tools such as graphic organizers and Desmos. The software is web-based, so you can easily send a link for students to access your lesson or to share your lesson with other teachers. The most innovative and collaborative educational piece of software! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lumio?

The only downside for me is the internet connection at our school, which is essential for the software to run smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Lumio?

The ease of finding useful templates and easily creating fun, meaningful, engaging activities for students is the best. I enjoy the ability now to connect Lumio and Google Dive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lumio?

While Lumio is fantastic the immersive reader needs some work to allow more types of documents to be read. I look forward to seeing the amazing improvements that will come in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Plan to ENGAGE!"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Lumio?

I love the games and template/manipulatives available for students to use along with your lessons! Also, the ability to provide instantaneous feedback and assistance in live time is amazing & such a time saver. The students are so excited to show what they know and have the ability/accountability to complete tasks in the moment. Lumio has great resources that could be used in ALL content areas and simple for students to use! It's like a digital filing cabinet of all assignments for teachers to have at their fingertips. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lumio?

I dislike that I can't search the premade resources by standard or create a "bank" of resources to share more easily with my school/team. Also, I don't like that I am only limited to text or images to build on a slide instead of making it more interactive with an overlay feature (insert Youtube, manipulatives, etc. on the same slide. The ability to "hide" slides when presenting would also be great to build a unit but only "release" content in chunks by lessons. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Lumio?

I like the game templates and that SMART Notebook files can be shared with students online as well as annotated over. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lumio?

1. The camera app on the SMART Panel MX boards if you take a picture with it can cause the app to not work/crash until you restart. My workaround is to pick up a pen on the board and put a dot and then save it.

2. It would be great if the browser on the SMART Panels MX would have a save and save the email address. We have to type it in every time to login to Google.com

3. We have discovered that downloading Notebook files from Google Drive to the Panel works better and faster than Lumio/SMART Suite. See our tips at https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1uKc39gbrLaeJNtUi4ACfwnvCyGMHmW9pH1baVyi6Dxk/edit?usp=sharing

4. It would be great if the Whiteboard app had a feature to delete all annotations so teachers can use the same file with multiple classes in secondary

5. The SMART Panel app needs a way under Files to copy/duplicate the file Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
