Sloyd Reviews & Product Details

Sloyd is a web-based 3D content creation platform that enables users to generate, customize, and export 3D models using text prompts, images, and parametric templates. Sloyd is a type of generative 3D modeling software that helps users create production-ready 3D assets for game development, 3D printing, user-generated content platforms, and digital visualization workflows. It combines AI-driven generation with structured, editable templates to support both rapid ideation and controlled asset creation. The platform is designed for indie game developers, UGC creators, 3D printing hobbyists, designers, and small studios that need access to large volumes of assets without traditional modeling pipelines. Users can generate 3D models from text descriptions, convert images into 3D objects, or customize predefined parametric templates using sliders and configuration options. Generated assets can be exported in common 3D file formats such as GLB, OBJ, PLY, and STL, depending on the workflow. Sloyd supports workflows such as game-ready prop creation, character and creature generation, printable figurine design, and rapid prototyping of visual concepts. The system automatically prepares meshes with UV maps and optimized topology suitable for real-time engines, visualization and printing use cases. Key features include: • Text-to-3D and image-to-3D generation for creating models from prompts or reference images • AI Image generation and editing • Apps with one-click-generation and transformations of images • AI texturing, retexturing, animation and editing • Parametric template editor for structured, adjustable assets with configurable geometry • Automatic UV mapping, mesh optimization, and export-ready file generation • Support for common 3D formats used in game engines and 3D printing • Additional tools such as retexturing, texture painting, multi-image 3D generation, and 3D-to-video rendering Sloyd operates as a subscription-based SaaS platform and is accessible through a web interface, eliminating the need for local installation or advanced 3D modeling expertise.
