I work with highly sensitive files often and need to prevent any type of malware attack and so far Authentic8 Silo has been amazing. I also work with a lot of different accounts so their password manager feature has been a lifesaver from having to remember passwords **What do you dislike about Silo Workspace?** I'm able to use Authentic8 on my Windows computer and iPad but my partner uses Android operating devices and Authentic8 isn't compatible. **What problems is Silo Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm able to consolidate my IP masking services, anti-malware services, and password management into one program rather than several ### 2. It has been great for finding solutions to legitimate business needs that would otherwise present unacceptable security risks to the corporate network. The configuration options are very granular and can be tailored to each use case. I would recommend Silo to anyone. **What do you dislike about Silo Workspace?** None, I really have yet to run into a scenario where Silo hasn't been able to check the boxes of the problem I'm trying to solve. **Recommendations to others considering Silo Workspace:** Its really a great tool that can be tailored to meet your individual needs. **What problems is Silo Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?** Provide access to users who have legit use cases to access part of the internet that would otherwise be blocked by the web proxy. My security also uses the tools in testing and reviewing suspicious email links and other security alerts. ### 6. End users can now use the browser to access some personal websites and since it allows isolation (preventing users from uploading files or business contents to any website). In additional, the idea of allowing the browser to connect via different egress we can use SILO to connect to website from different country, which is added benefit to troubleshoot website issue that has location / language functions. And the best use case for us, use it to validate phishing websites and download malicious files. Since the user interface is just like any major browsers, the learning curve was short. **What do you dislike about Silo Workspace?** When the website that has a lot of video or high graphic, there are times where website won't load correctly or the pages not formatted correctly. Also it would be nice if it would share native browser settings (proxy configuration) instead of editing system registry. Otherwise it works just like any major browsers. **Recommendations to others considering Silo Workspace:** This is a very nice add-on tool set for security and operation admin and huge benefit for the end users. **What problems is Silo Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?** When users wanted to visit a website that's blocked by our proxy regardless the website is questionable or not business related, it presented a challenge for the user and admin. Before we will have to copy the link to another isolated device to test the website. With SILO, since this is a sandbox browser, it allows admins to use it as a secure platform to check the questionable website to determent the content and behavior before we open up the website for end users. For the end users, this allow them to browser the website without the fear of data leakage and any malicious threat infecting the company's infrastructure. ### 7. Collaboration with my team is always secure regardless if we are in the office, remote, or working from home. **What do you dislike about Silo Workspace?** Downloading large PDFs or documents can take a bit longer than a normal browser. I understand that it's conducting a virus scan, but would like a quicker turnaround time. **What problems is Silo Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?** The IT team told us to use Silo when we have to visit interesting websites to conduct research, so it helps ease the process and doesn't make me worry about downloading anything malicious to my computer or the company's network. ### 8. This enables us to truly use our network like a weapons system. **What do you dislike about Silo Workspace?** The only downside of using A8 SILO is convenience. Yes, it may be more convenient to do everything on the same network. However, when you BELIEVE in the WHY we use A8 SILO - i.e. transfer the risk off our networks, and we have the tool to do it - then we will change our behaviors at the expense of convenience. **Recommendations to others considering Silo Workspace:** If you want to treat your network like a true weapons system, transfer the risk to an isolated browser, SILO. **What problems is Silo Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are able to implement a very restricted Whitelist on our network which is how we begin to treat our network like a weapons system. ### 11. SILO is simple and easy to use, and avoids all of the annoying and seemingly arbitrary user experience speed bumps that lead users to stray into less than secure workarounds. **What do you dislike about Silo Workspace?** I could always use more and different egress IPs! **What problems is Silo Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?** I need a secure solution for analysts to conduct sensitive research, without constantly worrying about attribution and signature reduction.
