**What do you like best about Sidekiq Pro?**

-  It is reliable and we are using it for almost 8 years and we are very happy with its reliability.
-  It provides APIs to interact with via Rails console
-  It is super easy to setup and provides the necessary dashboard and monitoring tools
- Pricing is also super reasonable

**What do you dislike about Sidekiq Pro?**

- In the past, we have faced an issue whereby our license was expired but we were not informed on time via any communication means by the Sidekiq pro team. We came to know about it only when trying to release a new feature in production.  Hopefully, this has been addressed by now.

**Recommendations to others considering Sidekiq Pro:**

Sidekiq Pro has made our life so much easier and I highly recommend others to use it.

**What problems is Sidekiq Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Most of our background processing jobs are being processed by Sidekiq pro. It includes receiving input, processing output and sending results back to the client. If a background processing job boundary is within the same sub-system we use Sidekiq. For cross subsystems async communication (event-driven architecture) we use message bus.

**What do you like best about Sidekiq Pro?**

Create a set of background jobs with tracking. You can see success and failure counts along with error information for failed jobs within the batch.

**What do you dislike about Sidekiq Pro?**

I don't find any strong point to dislike.

**What problems is Sidekiq Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Added background jobs for email sending and mobile message sending for our website. It was easy as it doesn't effect page response time.

**What do you like best about Sidekiq Pro?**

The "batches" feature is the main reason we use this over the regular OSS version.  They are nice and work as-advertised.  Interface is pretty simple to use.  The ability to pay some money to solve a problem is nice.

**What do you dislike about Sidekiq Pro?**

The data persistence is still not 100% in the case of failures.  Also, I get it that the author needs to get paid, but one of the "pro" features is improvements to data persistence, which seems kind of sketchy.

Some Rspec helpers would be nice to make it easier to test when working with some of the more complicated feature, which end up adding complexity in the application, but are mostly untestable, which can make for a reason to avoid such features.

**Recommendations to others considering Sidekiq Pro:**

If you really need the features, it's worth the money.

**What problems is Sidekiq Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Messaging queuing with more advanced capabilities.
