The objective was to increase online sales. The strategy formulated by SEO inc. was to improve Google rankings using on site SEO, and expand social media presence through posts and a Facebook contest.
The day our contract with SEO Inc was over.
After extensive research and interviews we hired SEO Inc. Being a small business, we decided to spend our limited resources and hire what we thought was a top notch SEO company that could deliver us to the first or second page for our respective search terms. Regrettably the company failed to deliver on its promises and treated us like second class customers. It was very obvious.
Just about everything was mishandled and the facebook campaign strategy was a big fail. SEO Inc. spent our precious resources on a marketing strategy they didn't truly understand.
There was constant turnover on the SEO Inc, team. Execution of Facebook and Twitter posts were mistimed, misspelled, and amounted to a large waste of time and resources.
SEO work on the website improved rankings to page 3 for a few terms, and pages 4-5 for others. In Google ranking terms this is tantamount to being on page 30. The company did not take further steps to try and improve the rankings, instead they washed their hands of the project and refused to discuss the matter.
Needless to say we did not renew the contract.
Instead we hired a company that was 1/4 the price who has delivered consistently strong rankings for many years now.
There are more effective SEO companies at significantly better value.
