**What do you like best about Scytale?**

I really appreciate Scytale's excellent customer understanding and the support they provide. Whenever it's challenging to determine the required documentation for SOC2 and HIPAA certificates, the Scytale team is always ready to assist and clarify what auditors require. Their readiness to help at any time and the speed at which they provide the necessary information is impressive. I find the information they give to be clear and easy to understand, which significantly simplifies my audit processes. Furthermore, they were immensely supportive during the initial setup, which made the transition smooth. The interface of Scytale is very clear and user-friendly, contributing to its intuitive use. Overall, everything works well with Scytale, and I am highly satisfied with their service, recommending it with a perfect score of 10.

**What do you like best about Scytale?**

Scytale is a very likeable company. The personal are great, starting from Matan as the sales which we talked over a year with and kept Scytale in my mind, to Oliver as our dedicated audit advisor. 
The integrations are very easy to set up and did help set up a lot of controls.

**What do you dislike about Scytale?**

Although the integrations and Scytale app doing some of the heavy lifting to us, the app still was kind of hard to understand at the beginning, even with the go through with the advisor, but in the end it was understandable.

The hardest part for a new startup to start audits with Scytale is that they need to create a lot of the processes (specifically in ISO for us) like onboarding and incident procedures, and they weren't very clear on how to do it. 

I believe that having on each policy examples of how they need to be done with pictures or templates (like the one in the incident template) will help make this easier.

**What problems is Scytale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Starting from being a first time founder, having little idea about the process of ISO and how to pass it, Scytale having an easy platform to manage that, connections to external audits for faster complience and generally can guide us through it due to us not having a lot of time to invest into this.

From the moment we onboarded, Scytale gave us a clear roadmap toward certification. Their platform automatically mapped every ISO 27001 control, tracked our progress in real time, and helped us collect and organize evidence with just a few clicks.

What really stood out was how much time and effort we saved. Instead of juggling manual tasks, we focused on strengthening our security posture while Scytale handled the heavy lifting — automation, reminders, and compliance tracking.

I like that Scytale effectively guides me through the compliance process for ISO 27001 audits, making it straightforward to implement necessary standards. The platform’s ability to have documents, like policies, signed directly within it is particularly convenient and efficient, streamlining an aspect that can often be cumbersome. I appreciate how it systematically collects evidence and tracks the completion of controls, ensuring thorough compliance management. Furthermore, the initial setup of Scytale was very easy for my team, as we were able to get onboarded and accustomed to the system within about an hour, showcasing its user-friendly design and accessibility.

**What do you dislike about Scytale?**

Some integrations do not always work consistently. Specifically, I experience issues with the GitLab integration, where it marks issues as not fixed even though they have already been resolved. This problem is currently being addressed, but it takes several weeks to solve, which is frustrating.

You feel that they are committed to getting you certified and that they will help you reach that goal. Follow up/check in meetings were planned, progress was followed and audits were done. The integrations are good, easy to use and well documented.

The dislikes are small, follow up on a requested planned integration was not met is one that comes to mind.

Stepping away from an Excel sheet with all the requirements and just being able to click around in a tool and seeing the connected evidence is a relief. It made the audit interviews so much easier and quicker. You have a question on Annex x.xx, boom here you go. In this policy and here is the collected evidence. And on to the next one.

Also the configuration of Scytale is conform the set up of the audits, very easy to match.

**What do you like best about Scytale?**

We worked with Scytale to go through the HIPAA Compliance, ISO 27001, GDPR, and CCPA audits. So far, we have successfully completed ISO 27001 and HIPAA, and I would like to highlight the excellent work of CJ Bergs. She was always available, guided us based on her professional experience, and helped us achieve great results.

With her support, I was able, as the CIO, to build a solid ISMS framework, and we are now looking forward to the external certification.

The only downside I can mention is that the platform is still a bit raw and could use some improvements. However, the most important thing is that the team actively listens to feedback and implements updates to ensure the platform’s stable operation.

I appreciate Scytale for its competitive pricing, which offers a more affordable solution compared to other vendors we considered. The majority of the integrations work smoothly and are easy to use, which makes setting up and utilizing the software a simplified experience. The integration capabilities, especially with tools like GitHub and AWS, are crucial given our needs, and while some aspects were initially complicated, many integrations were flawless. Moreover, having guidance from experts like Stefan was incredibly helpful, as he provided clear direction on obtaining necessary information and identifying actionable steps. This kind of support significantly aids in compliance efforts and auditing processes. The dashboard and integration features of Scytale stand out as particularly useful, streamlining various auditing tasks and facilitating better management of our compliance processes.

I found that some AWS integrations with Scytale were a bit of a headache. While some integrations were flawless, others were more complicated and weren't updated even though everything on our end was done as required. We had to provide print screen screenshots to prove the integration was on and connected, which was frustrating. Moreover, some fixes are needed with their integration parts, as some functionalities appear not visible even though they are already integrated.

As a Big 4 SOC Auditor, I experience a great sense of relief whenever my clients choose Scytale as their platform. The interface is user-friendly and intuitive, making it easy to navigate, and the integrations significantly speed up my audit process. The GRC professionals at Scytale also contribute to a more enjoyable audit experience, as I frequently collaborate with familiar team members and develop ongoing working relationships. Over time, they become well-acquainted with my preferences for evidence presentation. Throughout my auditing career, I have worked with many individuals at Scytale, including Oron, Tom, Adar, Robyn, and many others. Thank you Scytale for making my life a little easier every day at work!

**What do you dislike about Scytale?**

Occasionally, the website experiences problems with loading evidence and tends to be generally slow on their end. I also wish there were an option to navigate to the next picture in the control monitor using arrows, instead of having to close out and manually open each image. Additionally, having a button to pre-load all evidence at once would make audits much faster, especially on days when the internet or Scytale is running slowly.

**What problems is Scytale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a SOC auditor, I use Scytale daily to guide clients through the SOC process. I have become very familiar with the platform and have interacted with many of its employees. Their support significantly speeds up my work, especially when it comes to collecting evidence, since they often handle this through the Scytale GRC instead of requiring my direct involvement. Additionally, they help prepare Section 3 of the report, getting it about 90% complete before I need to finalize it, which saves me considerable time.

One of the aspects I like about Scytale is the personal touch they provide. Having a dedicated person allocated to assist me through the SOC 2 audit process is invaluable. This support makes dealing with auditors and collecting necessary evidence much more manageable. The dedicated personnel make themselves available for anything, easing the workload significantly and bringing a level of confidence and assurance that the process is being handled professionally. I also appreciate how Scytale makes the SOC 2 process and auditing seamless by taking over interactions with auditors and helping to manage security, privacy, and vendor reviews. Even with integrations being a bit challenging, the involvement of a dedicated person has been crucial in figuring things out and streamlining the process. This personal element makes Scytale a strong choice over other platforms I've used in the past.

I find the integrations with Scytale could be improved. The process of setting it up is a bit more challenging compared to other tools because the integrations are not as seamless. Additionally, there are many tasks that could have been automated, specifically in evidence collection, where I currently need to upload a lot of screenshots and other materials manually. From my experience, other tools handle these aspects better.

- The learning curve for Scytale is steep, especially for those without prior auditing experience. While the platform does its best to guide users, it can be daunting initially. - I wish there were more assistance and a guided process in justifying exceptions and deviations to avoid manual work, even though I understand these are meant to be exceptional cases. - The integration support for platforms like DigitalOcean is limited, with few features and configuration aspects automatically controlled. Although this is somewhat expected given DigitalOcean's status compared to larger providers, it still poses a limitation, and improved support would be beneficial. - The policies syncing process could be improved. Currently, I have to download signed policies manually from Scytale and upload them to Google Drive. An automatic export feature would be much appreciated. Not that I edit policies very often.

I find Scytale incredibly valuable as our compliance platform, especially for SOC2 type compliance. It makes the certification process much simpler, professional, structured, and efficient. I really like the professional platform and the very convenient user experience. Having our own Scytale representative who walks us through the entire process is a huge plus and it saves a very valuable time for us.

We noticed a bug, which was reported and addressed by the relevant team immediately. Maybe more AI implementation.

I really enjoyed the ease of use of the Scytale platform, in particular the policy templates which highlights potential areas for modifications. The numerous integrations also made it easy to automatically collect evidence from the various services we use.
