Screenify Studio Reviews & Product Details

Screenify Studio is the Mac screen recorder for indie hackers and technical founders who refuse to pay the editing tax. Recording a product demo takes about five minutes; making it look good usually takes forty-five. Screenify closes that gap — turn rough captures into polished product demos without leaving your Mac, and drive the whole thing however you like: a deep timeline editor, a terminal command, or plain English handed to an AI. RECORD & EDIT Smart Auto-Zoom follows your cursor and clicks automatically, so the viewer's eye always lands on the right spot. Cursor Studio adds recolorable or glossy 3D cursors, a click sound, and motion-based tilt. A Speaker Notes teleprompter floats your script over the screen — invisible in the recording — and scrolls hands-free with global shortcuts. Record several clips into one project and cut them on a Smart Timeline that shrinks inactive tracks and stacks overlapping effects so nothing gets buried. WEB DEMOS, DIRECTED BY AI Point Screenify at any URL and it drives a real browser, adds a smooth synthetic cursor and auto-zoom on every click, trims the dead time, and hands back a finished demo. Or just describe the demo in plain language: an AI clicks and scrolls your site for you, then directs cinematic effects — 3D camera tours, spotlights, blur-to-hide, callout highlights — on the moments that matter. You can record pages behind a login, and nothing is uploaded. 3D DEVICE STAGES & MULTI-DEVICE Stage any recording inside a photo-realistic MacBook, iPhone, or iPad with real perspective, lighting, and reflections. Show your product across iPhone, iPad, and Mac together in one cinematic ecosystem shot — each screen its own content, whether you recorded it live or opened a file you already had. A library of environment backdrops and desk surfaces gives every frame a production look, while hand-crafted camera motions and real lens controls (focal-length compression, aperture blur) make it move like a keynote. REAL-PHOTO SCENES, BROWSER WINDOWS, AND STACKING Drop your recording into an actual photograph and it lands on the screen inside it, matched to the perspective — a laptop on a café table, a phone in someone's hand, a screen on an airplane tray. Fourteen scenes to start, some with two devices in frame. For web demos, wrap the capture in a clean browser window with the address you type: ten styles across five window shapes, each in light and dark, so you skip the twenty tabs and the URL you'd rather not show. Best of all they are separate layers, so they combine — a browser window inside a MacBook, inside a real photo, across a multi-device stage. AI ASSISTANT & AUTOMATION Screenify ships an MCP server and a command-line tool, so Claude Desktop, Cursor, or ChatGPT can record, style, and export your demos for you — the same polished output whether you click, type a command, or ask an agent. On-device AI captions (Whisper) and background removal run locally on Apple Silicon, so nothing ever leaves your machine. Export up to 4K as MP4, GIF, or MOV with one-tap sizing for YouTube, TikTok, and Reels, all hardware-accelerated with Metal. WHAT'S IN THE BOX • Photo-realistic device frames — MacBook Pro 16", MacBook Neo, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPad, with the library growing every release. • Hand-crafted camera motions — Hero, Drama, Vertigo, Turntable, Hover Spin, Pull Back, and Reveal for iPhone; Lid Reveal, Slow Orbit, Crane Up, Push In, and Arc for Mac. • Real lens controls — focal-length compression for a telephoto look, aperture blur for a soft backdrop, plus Distance, Speed, and Reach modifiers on every preset. • Photographic environments and desk surfaces — Studio Warm, Sunset Beach, Symmetrical Garden and more, set over Wood, Marble, Concrete, Leather, or Glass. • Apple-grade menu-bar overlay — a real macOS menu bar with a locale-aware clock, battery, and Wi-Fi so every frame looks authentic. • Recording toolkit — Cursor Studio, Smart Auto-Zoom, a Speaker Notes teleprompter, multi-clip recording, and a Smart Timeline with multi-select and one-undo batch edits. • On-device AI — captions with Whisper, background removal, and Metal-accelerated export to 4K, with one-tap sizing for YouTube, TikTok, and Reels.
