## About ScalaBid
ScalaBid is a done-for-you construction bid documentation service. We build complete, submission-ready proposal packages for general contractors and civil contractors who bid formal public and private solicitations (ITBs, RFPs, RFQs) as prime, on work where the owner requires a written proposal. Most packages come back within 72 hours. Who it is built for: ScalaBid fits mid-market firms that bid as prime on formal written solicitations, both public lettings and private owner or developer RFPs. It is not a fit for subcontractors who take their scope from a GC, for residential-only builders, or for unit-price low-bid jobs that carry no narrative. If the bid requires a written proposal package, it is in scope. The problem we remove: Any contractor who bids knows the bind. An invitation lands with a hard deadline, and on a commercial bid the estimating team can lose 40 to 80 hours to writing the proposal, building compliance matrices, filling out forms, and assembling the package. That is time they should be putting into price and strategy, which is where bids are actually won. So winnable opportunities get passed on, month after month, and the work goes to whoever had the hours to chase it. The cost is not just the labor on each bid. It is every bid a firm never submitted because the team was buried in paperwork on the last one. How it works: The contractor sends us the solicitation documents, the ITB, the addenda, the spec book, and any attachments. We review every page and structure the requirements. If anything required is missing from the firm&#39;s profile, we surface it in a short list of open items, each written in plain language with the section it ties to and why it matters, so the contractor can resolve it in minutes instead of rereading the spec book. From there we build the draft, run it through an internal compliance review where every solicitation requirement is traced to the text that answers it, and deliver. Standard turnaround is 72 hours. A 24-hour rush is available when the deadline is tight. After delivery, the contractor can request revisions through the portal and fill any placeholders we flagged, then download the final package. What you get in every package: Each package is built to the specific bid, not pulled from a generic template. It includes a proposal narrative covering the sections the solicitation calls for: cover letter, executive summary, technical approach, management plan, past performance, quality control plan, safety plan, insurance and bonding, and regulatory compliance such as prevailing wage, EEO, and DBE or MBE participation where the bid requires it. Alongside the narrative, the package includes a compliance matrix that maps every solicitation clause to its status and the section that answers it, and an action checklist that lays out the bid forms to sign, the insurance and bonding letters to source, and the schedule inputs to confirm before submission. Each action item shows the exact section and page it comes from, how critical it is, and who to contact to resolve it. We read your plans, not just your specs: We review every drawing sheet in the set, including scanned pages and addenda, and pull the information your proposal and compliance matrix need from them. Supported formats include DWG and DXF files alongside scanned PDFs, TIFFs, and embedded images. This is work a freelance writer does not touch. Your name, never ours: Everything we produce belongs to the contractor and carries the contractor&#39;s name. There are no watermarks and no ScalaBid branding anywhere in the files, and we never identify ourselves as the author to the owner, the awarding authority, or anyone else. As far as the project owner is concerned, the proposal came from the firm, because it did. Sensitive documents like financials and bonding letters stay optional and are handled with care.
