What I like best about Adaptiv is its ability to seamlessly integrate diverse network protocols into a unified, high-performance fabric. By leveraging Software-Defined Networking (SDN), it intelligently prioritizes traffic in real-time, ensuring that mission-critical applications maintain peak stability even during heavy congestion. It effectively turns a complex infrastructure into a flexible, self-optimizing ecosystem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Since Adaptive Networks (or Ciena's Adaptive Network vision) are intended to be self-healing and highly automated, my main “dislikes” tend to focus on the complexity of the initial transition.

The biggest drawbacks are the steep learning curve for teams that need to operate and trust AI-driven automation, along with the high upfront cost of replacing legacy infrastructure to enable a truly programmable, sensor-driven ecosystem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Being able to automate tasks that would normally take our team a long time to complete makes operation more efficient, and of course allows our team to redistribute that capacity to other tasks. The personalisation and ability to easily amend on the fly is fantastic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This is understandable given you want to take care learning the system to build a strong foundation, but it also means you may rely on a handful of SMEs to manage and support.
