What do you like best about SAP PLM?

Tight integration with SAP PP/PP-PI, Material BOM and Material master. This makes R&D, Manufacturing, labeling and testing really simple. The tool helps with regulatory requirements such as allergen capture, labeling, formulations, sample generation etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP PLM?

The software is not very user friendly. Significant user training required. The migration from recipe management to recipe development can be tedious. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering SAP PLM:

SAP PLM is a good solution if there is organizational clarity in product development, consistent product labeling, there is regulatory requirement to capture allergens etc. There is a learning curve with this solution and the platform is not very intuitive. What problems is SAP PLM solving and how is that benefiting you?

This is the only comprehensive PLM solution we have used and we are leveraging the provided tool-set in R&D, testing and manufacturing. Features like bills of materials, alternates, phantoms and production versioning are part of the software.
