What do you like best about Sahi Pro?

Fast support services. Innovative all the years, e.g. Business-Driven Test Automation (BDTA) meets our needs but Flowcharts is a great add-on to visualisze process flows. What problems is Sahi Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?

Business people need to support the limited technical colleagues to write down the use cases and automate them without hazzle. Code developer also should be able to support the test case writers which is easily possible because the IntelliJ integration works perfect (with Gradle). What do you like best about Sahi Pro?

Best:

- Easy to use no special training required to use the tool

- Lot of inbuilt APIs are present

- Reporting has lots of feature like histogram , suite level , individual script level , export excel , zip and easy to analyze the error

- Aborting feature

- Easy to navigate within the tool

- Not heavy coding skills required , easily manageable with light coding skills and use of inbuilt APIs

- Custom functions and using those functions are easy and navigate to those functions are also easy

- Running as suite is a good feature and inbuilt suite analysis is easy

What do you dislike about Sahi Pro?

Dislike-

- it's a slow tool especially interaction with local machine , e.g i have local setup for sahi pro and directory is pointing to git location, if i try to rename , delete or add any script the UI hangs and screen freezes then after 5 min it backs to normal

- UI is not great , looks outdated or some college project

- For SAP UI works fine but couple of places in SAP UI it doesn't work E.g Renaming of Template with the already exists template name , gives 500 internal server error in sahi chrome incognito mode , while outside it gives proper error - duplicate template name

- Lots of bugs and lot of bug fixes

- There is no inbuilt tool intelligence e.g auto heal is not so great feature

- Tool resilience is missing there is no option to "Resume" if some external interruption happens e.g power cut then all the progress goes in vain

- There is no dark mode theme

- Web Element detection should be robust

- inbuilt interactive suggestions/tips are missing

- Auto correct feature or something like it could show the best web element id to use based on the historical pass/fail ids

- No chat to communicate inside the tool to communicate fellow script developers

- There is no inbuilt forum where all the colleagues can give suggestions and post problems and share info it's very isolated tool

- There not much info or knowledge available over the internet

- Integration between UI to API and Coming back to UI while execution is not available

- Using for UI Automation purpose - to validate the functional correctness of the feature

- To reduce the manual effort in regression cycle

- Less effort in manual testing is what we see as a benefit

- Also if dev colleagues fixes code and before releasing TR , they run the scripts to assure all is well

It is very easy to use and a person who doesn't have a strong programming background can make his application automate without putting many efforts. Another benefit of its simple cross-browser testing support for multiple browsers and multiple technologies like mobile, desktop, and web services

SAHI scripts are fast to create and easy to maintain. One of the best parts is - No wait statements required even for AJAX and page loads.

Sahi was my first automation tool in my automation career, The thing which I liked the most about this tool is that the installation process is very easy for fresh automation testers, and it is very easy to get familiar with the interface of this tool.I just run the website and performed some record and playback actions for testing purposes. What do you like best about Sahi Pro?

I have used Sahi Pro for one of my recent project which was quite useful in running regression test.

Sahi scripts are easy to understand.

Able to run the same script across different browsers parallelly on a single machine.

What do you dislike about Sahi Pro?

Not supporting multiple languages as Sahi script is the only language to use this tool.

Video capturing feature is not available.

Previously we used a different tool and had various challenges like finding xpath in Ajax Javascript and consumes more time on scripting. What do you like best about Sahi Pro?

The thing which I liked the most about this tool is that the installation process is very easy for fresh automation testers, and it is very easy to get familiar with the interface of this tool. Its really a good tool, Since many clients look for Open sources most of the time, it is difficult to convince to use License tools like Sahi pro. We need to do all the needed home work before we approach Management ( product based companies), clients (service based organizations).

What do you like best about Sahi Pro?

I have 85% of my application automated which means thousands of test cases, yet it can run those test suites without human intervention for long hours without crashing (which i experienced with popular tools in market). Its easy to find help in sahi's official website with great documentation they have. Support team also usually replies within a day for queries mailed to them. What do you dislike about Sahi Pro?

Sahi editor has performance issues, its response is too slow when you have large files open or tests are running in back ground. Also, it cannot be integrated with tools like browserstack or AI tools for auto selecting tests to run once build is created. I get help mostly from documentation in their website or by writing to them, it would be good to have blogs or active discussion panels. There is a blog page but most of critical questions were unanswered. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sahi pro is a great value-for-money tool which enables you to automate testing activities of web applications, apis, desktop applications with ease and effectively.
