Sabayon is very friendly UI is very attractive and provides better architecture to work on Linux environment.i agree that the OS is fairly fast and provides the expected output

**What do you dislike about Sabayon?**

I personally felt that the updates are minimum and compared to other operating systems this is little slow. The welcome screens in the start up is boaring and eats up time to start

**What problems is Sabayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Used it for a project due to customer insision and learnt it much brefely. We completed the project without gaps and was very satisfied with the outcome. Yes the perfomance has been increased.

  ### 6. Best Gentoo-based Linux Distribution that is beginner-friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Niranjan R. | Head of Marketing, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Sabayon?**

Sabayon's beginner-friendly UI is very attractive and provides better hardware compatibility than most distributions. The OS is very fast, and crisp. Absolutely love the Verbose update tool.

**What do you dislike about Sabayon?**

Multiple welcome screens look very annoying. Further, the single partition for root and home are not a very welcome feature as multi- partitions are always a safer bet

**Recommendations to others considering Sabayon:**

If people like to try Linux for the first time, or they would like to experience Gentoo and waste no time compiling, Sabayon is a great start. Been using since ages now and has never failed my expectations

**What problems is Sabayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sabayon for me, has helped compiling faster and would not have recognised that it is gentoo as the implementation of plasma is outstanding and IMO is a very good daily driver

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Networking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Sabayon?**

It comes with pretty much everything you need for a solid desktop operating system out of the box.

Entropy lets you use pre-built packages. However, if you want to install something not on repo, you can always compile from source with portage.

**What do you dislike about Sabayon?**

Because it is a lesser-known distro, there is not a lot of support out there. You will often find yourself relying on the general Gentoo forums to guide your way.

**What problems is Sabayon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I wanted a Gentoo based distro that provided very good out of box support on various hardware, and Sabayon fails to disappoint.
