When it works properly, it is extremely useful. Setting up integrations like Cursor AI is also fairly easy due to well-structured tutorials from the dev team. For a quick MVP to test ideas it is a interesting solution that people can test out. **What do you dislike about Replit?** While the gen AI features are useful, they can sometimes fail to handle simple tasks out of the blue. For example it will tell you to change the code on your own, when it is supposed to edit in situ. Or will say it can't see your code when that is a main functionality of the tool. In these cases, restarting the environment is often necessary, but can be very frustrating when that also doesn't work. The biggest drawback, however, is the mandatory MIT license requirement when publishing your Repl to the web. This lack of privacy control removes a key incentive for me. I still use it but I won't publish any Repls to the web. Additionally, while Replit Agent has potential, the code it produces is often bloated, or risks inserting code breaking changes that can cost a developer hours to debug, which often is easier to just delete the Repl and start again. **What problems is Replit solving and how is that benefiting you?** Replit provides an accessible, browser-based IDE with generative AI assistants offering real-time code suggestions, debugging, and edits directly within the platform. It also takes the burden of my computing resources as the code is executed on the cloud with their servers.
