Recurly Engage Reviews & Product Details

Recurly Engage is a subscriber lifecycle and retention platform that helps B2C subscription businesses reduce churn, drive upsells, and increase product adoption without waiting on engineering resources. Built natively for subscription businesses, Recurly Engage delivers personalized, in-app prompts across web, mobile, and TV that connect directly to your billing backend. Subscribers can upgrade, downgrade, pause, buy, be saved, and more with one click. No redirects, no manual follow-up. Growth and product teams can use Recurly Engage to launch and A/B test cancel-save flows, onboarding guides, upsell prompts, and price change communications without dev dependencies. Targeting is driven by live subscriber behavior: usage patterns, billing state, device, time, and lifecycle stage. Recurly Engage spans the entire lifecycle from acquisition, engagement, upsell, retention, and even cancellation. Create personalized onboarding, premium plan adoption, involuntary churn remediation, and win-back guides. Prompts include built-in A/B testing (Experiments) and regression controls for ongoing optimization. Combined with involuntary churn tools such as payment retry logic and dunning management, merchants can address both voluntary cancellations and failed-payment churn from a single platform. Real-time reporting gives teams visibility into cancellation reasons, save rates, and offer performance so retention strategies can be adjusted over time based on data rather than guesswork. Key features and benefits include: In-flow cancellation management: Presents pause, downgrade, swap, discount, and skip alternatives at the moment a subscriber attempts to cancel Segment-based retention offers: Configurable flows by customer segment, plan type, or lifecycle stage rather than one-size-fits-all save screens. Churn reduction: Retention flows can reduce churn when combined with involuntary churn tools. Upsell and cross-sell prompts: Can increase upsells through lifecycle-based product and plan recommendations. Product adoption support: Drives up higher product adoption by surfacing relevant features and upgrades to existing subscribers Cancellation and retention reporting: Real-time visibility into cancel reasons, save rates, and offer performance
