When we took it to leadership, they didn't care how many ideas got submitted, they wanted the numbers after that. Three came up every time. Adoption, will people actually use it past the first month, which is fair since participation across these tools tends to run low. Ideas implemented, not just collected, because a big submission count means nothing if nothing ships. And payback, how long until the value covers the cost. What made the case easy to build was choosing a tool that tracks through to implementation and ROI, Ideawake did that well, so we could show what shipped and what it saved rather than raw activity. Worth asking each vendor for real payback numbers upfront too, since it swings a lot across this category.
